Background and Early Life

Levi grew up in the eastern part of the Lands of Cargoth in the city of Dorans Crest. He was the eldest and only son of Sidero, a man of noble blood and owner of the prosperous Irontooth Mines. Levi lived a life of luxury and envy from most of the other commoners and even noblemen, as his father was the wealthiest man in the dukedom and advisor in economic matters to the king. But Levi didn't want any of it. 


Behind the scenes a different picture would emerge, hidden behind the wellkept masks of etiquette and duty. His father was a stern and strict man, the many years of gathering iron had made him hard as the material itself. His mother Fe took the brunt of it for many years, silent in pain. When she wasn't enough Levi would be next, a disappointment in his fathers eyes. Sidero couldn't sire anymore children, he had become impotent and so he was left with Levi who did not want to follow in his footsteps.


Levi was an odd boy in many ways, he loved music and art. He would go to local theaters and museums, just to enjoy the beauty by himself without company. He did not feel lonely, instead he found solace and kinship in the eyes of the painted figures and the notes of the music he listened too. 


 
In his teens he had a chance encounter with a wandering half-elven bard by the name of Connor, they became fast friends and Connor tought him how to play the flute, dance and sway the hearts of people. When Levi's father learned of this, he took Connor prisoner and used him as a bargaining chip to make Levi obey his wishes. Levi was torn and for a time did as his father asked. When he finally was rewarded with a visit to the dungeons of their keep and a meeting with Connor, Connor said to him, the single two sentence he would never forget, he said: ''In the fabled words of the lost king of twilight, there is no beauty without freedom. But the gift of freedom is not something given, but something taken, for in our hearts we are our own wardens.'' 


By some strange wordless presence Levi felt a confidence and pride swell within his body, with a quick word of thanks he packed his things in the night and left never to turn back again. 
 
For many years he travelled, played music and enjoyed life for its fleeting qualities. By some strange occurrence the memories of his childhood became like dying stars in the void of space, slowly dissipating until all he could remember was the brod strokes of a crude painting.


He father would pursue him relentlessly, sending mercenaries in his wake, but Levi would keep disappearing. By the end of the third year of escaping he became known under a new nickname: ''The Forgotten''. Now he has reached the eastern coast, trying to establish a new life in the memory of his once dear friend Connor. 


But fate had other plans...
