We go to the shrine. It's a guy with a big shield and beard. It's a mix of a dwarf and a giant. Its uncanny. I can see that the statue is weathered, it needs some repairs. Such as cleaned, engraved, resharpened.. Should be 3-4 days. There's also some magical components to it, but we're unsure how to utilise this. We can remember that the shrine has to be used, but we don't know how. We join Piet, Bert, Godrick and Ziran to go on patrol. The patrol is to go to the farmlands. We start our patrol, magic is still messing with the forest. The plants are clearly move alive too. One ranger stops us, as it sees a fox with antlers. There's clearly magic inside of this creature. It is eating a bird corpse. One of them wants to shoot it, we try to persuade them into not shooting the fox. Thorgrott eventually manages to talk him down from it where the rest fails. I notice that we get closer to the homestead, almost being able to smell the old home. As we walk further, we get ambushed by an owlbear. I yell for it to wait and step in front of my companions to try and stop them from attacking as well. The owlbear talks about us being its territory and wanting us gone. Juniper tries to intimiate it with her new animal flute, but even after the roar it doesn't really care. I continue to try and persuade it throughout my turns, as well as try to get everyone else to back off. Eventually, after everyone else runs, I manage to persuade it to run away.

I wake up as normal, a little confused about my whereabouts but not unused to it. This is the first time I also use the Inn like this. I scan around the room to take in my companions before starting on my usual morning routine.

We start the session at the Pulley Inn. Rather than in is own tent, Ludwig slept with his companions. I wake up as normal, Everyone around the fire looks relaxed and passive. Vorrak seems relaxed as well, until I open my mouth. Starting with; how I've been gone for a little bit, brought over some special companions, jumping from one point on another which seems to not go well with the ways that I've been taught. This gets me a little bit chewed out, and Juniper hands me over the document. This helps with getting the story a bit better in order. He asks me what my goal with this was, which makes me flustered and look at my companions. Vorrak has regret for how he's taught Tharian, and will try to recruit his soldiers to be on his side. We're told not to trust the soldiers that come with us to the expedition. He also mentions some documents, which would be nice for him to get his hands on, but happen to be in Tharian's tent. He leaves, and we gather back up. We decided to do two things today; Go to the market and to the shrine. The market has some food and flea-market items. I find a dagger with frost edge.

In the tavern, I sit with Thorgrott. A guard comes in and tells us that Folium and RuHa have been put inside of a cage. We go outside and find them there, as told. Tharian comes up behind us and starts talking to me. Says that the small druid, Folium, has been making threats and what is why she was put inside of the cage. I am doubtful of this considering her size and the fact that he is known to not like their kind. Having had some beer, I can't help but say that he seems to be the scared and weak one, keeping these people in this state (hungry, scared, thirsty). He argues that these people are vermin and bring sickness, I tell him that they'd gladly go to the other side of the forest where it is safe. Then tells me to join the party tomorrow to go to the farms and see for myself, that I'll sing different, and take my own companions with him. I tell him that I want everyone with me, Folium included. As I do not see him treat her well. Meanwhile, RuHa is freed. Afterwards, I think it might be nice to try and get some water and food to those still in the cage. Sadly, I do not remember the name of this guard and call him James. His real name is Godrig, we've trained together. Being caught in this only makes things worse. He says they are already getting rations and that is all they will get. RuHa tells me that she gave them some of her rations. I accidentally call him James again and thank him. I quickly get away to avoid further awkwardness. My companions get a room together, Thorgrott and Juniper go upstairs to go take a look at it. RuHa eventually joins me outside. We decide to go to the well, I do not recognise these plants. RuHa tells me that these are the similar to the ones in the coin square. We do not know what to do with this, as Therian wouldn't be convinced that these are an issue or if they were then he would blame it on the druids. We decide we should take it up to the overview office people, Korark & Gitsoen. Together, we ask our party members if they would also like to join, Juniper fully ignores me and is only convinced by RuHa to come join us. There is a dwarf (Bramthruem) with a goose (Kronker) and a rat, together in a cage. He appears ancient. I ask him who he is and why he is here but he keeps talking nonsense about us all being in cages. I also use my speak with animals to see if the rat and goose have anything useful to say, but it seems like they're a record on repeat. After mentioning this, Juniper tells me that these animals are likely antomatoms or robots rather than real animals, like what we found in the forge back in coin square. I decide to ask the guards about him. He seemed to have arrived 2 days ago, where they tried to put him in cage but the goose burned down the cage. Trying to separate them caused the goose to disappear and reappear in the cage. The goose is definitely not an animal. Giving him a piece of the cart, this makes him shortly ramble about the fact that he used to work for these cranes 300 years ago. He fixes the small piece that I gave him, its beautiful and shiny. This could help us convince the overview office to fix the cranes. So, we take that to inside. RuHa's book seems to chime and glow for a moment. Nothing seemed to have changed for me. I decide to talk to Gitsoen and show the piece that the dwarf has cleaned and repaired. He and Korark came from outside and were driven into the camp by the attacks. I tell them that my parents had mentioned them as well and that we'd be willing to help them fix the cranes, as they seem interested in that. I tell them that maybe Thorgrott can have a little look. He finds the rail manual. We also tell Gitsoen about the Ivory order and the dwarf's work, as the two seems trustworthy. It's possible that putting the magic inside of the cranes again might also help his mental state? This is something we tell them to do as well, they seem supportive in this. Vexoen (my mentor) is above Tharian in command, we should talk to him soon about the cranes as they seem supportive about rebuilding these rather than breaking them down. There is a shrine of Gond near the forge.

Juniper makes a comment under her mouth, which my dad hears and grabs her for. My mom calms him down before he gets out of the tavern, she also gets angry at Juniper, who after she leaves also gets angry at me even after I try to gives her a gently touch to calm her down. Since this didn't go well, I slink over to Thorgrott to sulk.

The forest seems to clear up around us and no longer seems as hostile as it was. As we waddle through the river and the rest of the forage towards the cranes, I find two rations (some small apples and berries), Folium finds a very small fish but it isn't enough for more than half a bite, RuHa finds a rock, Juniper sees bug. Eventually we can see the walls come into view, (Wall of spirit, wall of honour) along with the cranes that cover a large landscape. The materials are weathered and taken back by nature. As we get to the cranes, I get the mixed feeling of being home again. There's some people that seem to be in a skirmish near the entrance of the camp. Sha'vern seems to be attacking a turtle guy, with some help of RuHa I pull her off him and ask her to explain. She insist she is taking care of him. The turtle talks about the ivory order having attacked the camp, while Sha'vern says that they have attacked the order instead and some of them have been taken into prison. (NAT 1) Ludwig believes that this turtle is a terrorist and suggests bringing him into the camp for interrogation. She also asks about the party, where I shortly tell her that they aren't from the Grove apart from Folium, but I do stop her from pointing the spear at her, as Folium has been with us all the time. RuHa and Juniper try to get the whole story from the two of them. It seems people are more armoured, a mix of people who are still in their ranger outfits and some that seem to be taking their soldier duties a lot more serious. There's a tavern to the right of us. Something new is the tent to our left, next to the normal camp. It seems to have become a commando tent, where my brother is on a higher part. It seems like he's glistering from ice magic and talking to troop with older outfits that they need to step up and also need to get in order. Back to tradition. It makes me feel anxious of how natural this seems to him, from what seemed to be Tha'rian had this ready. Ludwig feels frozen. Juniper calls attention on herself by making a little tune with her harp and introduces herself. She talks about being sent by Nazire and their wish to get the cranes back in order. Juniper and I are called into the tent, where there's also a dragonborn in the corner with claw marks on his chest. Tharian talks to us, continues to talk about tradition and that even the ivory order from beyond the cranes wants to take over the place before even laying connection. While I try to make it seem like a good thing that they want contact, Juniper tries to do a similar thing and hoping that telling Tharian he would get recognition for this would help us. After he sent out Juniper, I got to talk more to him. I talked about the icy-glow around him and my mission, that I haven’t found the druid but did make it to town square where I met my companions. As well as the monsters we've defeated alongside the ivory order and Nazire. I make sure that I tell him that I also possess this icy magic, that it isn't just something that he earned through his actions. He dismissed me. Afterwards, we head to the tavern where we get a drink. My parents are here as well. Korark & Gitsoen are active in the library of the old 'overview office' can help with the cranes perhaps as they’ve worked on it. Red fur and Feathers have been found near druid attacks. As if they’re controlling monsters. Mother Oridia has been killed during the first attack. My brother hasn't claimed this death, despite rumours. This makes me feel like it is unlikely that he did kill her. My parents won't return to their plot of land outside of camp due to the danger.

Session 5: where the wild things grow

Juniper seems a little peeved at me, from the way she is looking at me. Thankfully, she starts singing which seems to lighten things up a little.

Oathwood Tree

We're back in the grove. As we step outside, things feel different. Everything feels a bit denser and darker, thick with mist. The trees are still moving and creaking. Folium seems to have been swallowed by a swarm of fireflies, which is a bit jarring but also makes me think of when she disappeared in the city. We do find her again quickly, hiding under some foliage. RuHa gets 'Ants' out of her. I try to ask her what it means, but it doesn't get much out of her. As we walk, we find a large tree trunk. The tree seems like it has been dead for a long time, cautiously we walk back into a different path. This is where Thorgrott falls asleep in front of us. Juniper tells us that he has been enchanted by something. It can be a person, but also some kind of entity. RuHa seems to sink on her knees, but she does get up. After touching a leaf, she falls asleep. I try to wake up Thorgrott, but fail. Folium wakes up RuHa instead, who then wakes up Thorgrott. We walked further, hastily to not mess with nature any more. As we get out, Thorgrott's hammer seems to act up. As I remember that Juniper could see magic, I ask her if she can see if the magic has already left the hammer or not. We can see a tree,[b] an Oath tree[/b]. This is a tree that we know from stories. Some people of the ivory order gave their Oaths to this tree, about their role in ivory order. Cleric or Palladin class was most common for this. This tree was supposed to have magic, and give more strength to the person. Trees often gave a challenge. Whether they gave it or it at the tree is unclear. It made the tradition magical. I try to explain it to my companion that this is a tree that I was told about in my childhood and that it was a tree that was positive. However, as we get closer to the tree we suddenly get grabbed by the roots of the tree. Thorgrott's hammer gets taken as well as it break in half, while he remains behind. I feel cold dread until I realise that this is actually part of the tree, and likely a challenge offered by this Oath tree.

Timothy Bluebelly has been captured and we introduce ourselves to Clerk of the Ivory order, Nazire. She doesn't seem super impressed with us. Juniper explains the things that have happened with the plant creatures and such. Folium is called out to be from Tlacopaní, or at least, her ancestors. RuHa tries to pursue Timothy Bluebelly into putting in a good word at the bowlscrapers. She lets him go. While I would've preferred him in a cellar, we currently are on no-ones-land. We're told to go back to the cranes. Which is where I am from, in the grove. The idea of facing my brother without any of my goals met makes a shiver roll down my spin. It makes me faintly feel the pressure of his book on my back again as we set up camp around coin square for a long rest. During this rest, Juniper reads the book that Folium had found. 'The Index Principia: A Living Record of Elven Bloodlines in Zyrokhil'.

As I was tasked to leave with my two companies, I decided it would be best to wait outside of the gate for Thorgrott to join us again. But, upon seeing that there were two guards at the gate I looked at RuHa and Juniper and together we decided to go back instead, hoping to stay out of sight others. As we were walking, I got bit in my tail. Scared, I started to try and shake it off while screaming. RuHa, nonchalant, said "Hi Folium." After calming down a little, we tell her about Thorgrott and she in returns tells us that there were humans in armour (gold administration) who want to kill Juniper. We discuss what we want to do, whether it is going back to coin square or leave. RuHa confidences us we have to stay for Thorgrott. We hear Timothy Bluebelly, the bowlscarper guy, getting in an escapade with the ivory order and golden administration. Judge Titus (gold administration) is here too. So is Nazire Uccoth (Ivory order) Thought: With the Ivory Order around, I could perhaps get to know more about them alongside the magic. It'd help them earn my place back perhaps. During the encounter we manage to get Thorgrott back on our side. I want to go warn Nazire about the plans of the Golden Administration but they end up in battle. Instead, I see that my companions are taking down Faebys, so I ran after them. This is where we see a corpseflower, only to have Titus after us. Thankfully Nazire sees this and comes after us. I manage to tell them about the plan with the elves while in battle. We manage to defeat the corpseflower and the blighted husk while Nazure goes after Titus.

We enter the smithy, and are greeted by a robot(??). Apparently [b]it has been 300 years [/b] that someone has been here. It seems friendly enough, I ask it for rhinestones for the hammer, but he doesn't have any. So instead I ask if he could help customize the hamer instead. Thorgrott lets the robot(??) take his weapon, spewing out some stuff about it, what the hammer needs for an upgrade or repair. Smithy Assistant 0089. A fire is made in the forge while we get ready to rest. I find a nice chainmail shirt that is almost done, but it is reserved for another customer. We try to convince the assistant to give it to us as the other customer won't pick it up. I think about it but, I doubt I will be able to take this with me without any consequences. We awaken at the night with Juniper shouting 'Pardon'. There's an older lady messing with the warforge. Juniper and RuHa managed to grab her and hold her to interrogate. Apparently she wants the powercore of the Warforge. She has been running around her for a little and knows Ruha and Thorgrott. Thorgrott needs this to save his parents. Some organisation called the [b]bowlscrapers [/b]is coming? After the night, it seems like they showed up. Some disgusting looking guy seems to be threatening. He's called [b]Timothy [/b][b]Bluebelly[/b] Talks about other Dragonborns that have stormed the city, which he seems like he wants us to fight. Kind of makes fun of me too. Thorgrott ends up making a deal with him and we're going back out. Outside we are met with fire from the Dragonborns, burning the grass and plants. I disguise myself as a Hornblower, scout-ranger-strategist. This manages to fool them. I tell them that I was sent out here before and we've found some people, including monsters and some guys that tried to attack me including the old smith (Thorgrott) that I've found. Another guy, Judge Titus, comes forward. Juniper seems to know this guys and goes into dialogue. She gives the cheques as she explains a bit more about what has happened. I explain to them that we were threatened by them. They want me to join the rest again, but I manage to bullshit my way into making them think I'll escort the citizen out. Thorgrott sadly stays behind now as he tries to get the powercore back from inside.

Its getting darker. Juniper is awakened by RuHa, apparently Elves are not used to sleeping. We exit the shed, there's a pit where the tree once was. There's a lot of bodies, different species, ages, races. It appears that the tree went to the sewer system, sadly this has been ruined by her escape. I eat and drink something, quickly as to not waste to much time. It reminds me of my training days, quickly eating and not sitting around on patrols. We head back in the store, not wanting or able to go after her. Thorgrott mentions the smithy, I ask what kind of stuff he wants to find for his hammer. I suggest rhinestones. Juniper reads a book, a book of fabrics. Something about connected universes. A silver revolution. Some power called The infestation. Corruption of the universe. Beastlands. Tlacopaní. Ancestral magic. Elven wanderers. Elar. Warforge. Interplanetair. Thorgrott wants to bury the dead children, we helped him with this. Some flower bloom on the place where the bodies are. We pay our respects and are on our way to the smithy.

Session 2: Growing together -2

We're going to LuLudy, the furniture is massive and there are plants everywhere. On the large desk there's a diary. Someone who sells plants here. She was here when the gates of coin square closed and used the small amounts of magic and food to keep alive. She apparently turned into a tree and fed the children of the community for a while. I recognise these plants from the husks, I warn the group about this before we can hear a growl beyond a door. Juniper screams and runs away from the door. We enter combat. As we fight a husk, a corpse flower appears. It seems bigger, but has smaller skulls. RuHa absolutely smites it to smithereens as the light of a god unbeknownst to me shines upon her and the light burns it and the other enemy. Behind its corpse, where there is a wall that is now broken open. There is a giant elephant tree, presumably the one from the diary. She points at us, then turns away. As I go to cautiously follow to the graveyard, behind me I can hear someone falling and the clink of metal.

The god lyra is the centerpiece of the coin square that we walk towards. There's a bank, a plant store and a clothing store among other things. [Dragonborn's 'oervader'/Primordial Father of the Ivory order used to be somewhat of a niche religious figure, other Dragonborns usually believe in the more common gods but my group isn't very religious anymore due to it being so long ago. All I know is the Sun bringing life.] We enter a little house. There isn't too much of interest to me. RuHa went to the clothing store. I vaguely see some blue sparks in the distance where she is. The closing seems weird and There's two other houses one with obsidian, the bank. Inside there's what seems to be a vault. There's a wall at the lobby, with obsidian. As we're standing there, water seems to fall down. It seems to disappear on the bottom and spell something out. I can't really see what it says or who these, assumed, companies are. RuHa finds a ledger. Something about this ledger being magically connected with the vault? Arcane credit...Soul bound entries. It works for Juniper but not for RuHa. The latter getting blank pages. There is a somewhat recent date in the book, from 4 days ago. Thorgrott also tries, he gets some stuff about his family For me all the money is administered by the Ivory Order.

Thorgott gives a small speech about the dead body, seems to be his way of paying respect. I try to look at their stomach, as 'it' seems to originate from there. I can see a little plant, I'll have to remember this to see if it can be useful later. Across the market stall we see: Trabelar House, inside it is dark. But it clear that this is from a wealthy family. It's a family name. RuHa knocks the door, the lord is not in residence. The house seems to talk, which is...Odd. Everyone else seems to see this. Juniper tried again, but gets the same response. Possibly moldy and alchemy filled jars and bottles. There's some parts of animals, flasks, bottles. RuHa explains to us, as she's gathering some things , that she's taking them since she needs to help a baby. As I tell her that I hope the kid is ok, she asks me about the blue 'magic'. Apparently she had seen this with the baby as well, talking about the blue glow. Turns out that Juniper and Thorgrott had seen something similar. Juniper even talking about visions of those in the Court Of Gems. Afterwards mentions a garden with fruit where Dragonborns are guards. They start discussing their goals. I asked more about the magic, how it felt for RuHa and gently asked Juniper if she knew more about what magic used to be. She's only 110. My brother would slap me in the back of my head for my diplomatic skills. We also look at a nearby bakery, I try to see if there's spices but they don't look very good. I decide to not take them.

In coin square, found some books including money for 4 barracks, including one not in use, for the ivory order. This is from long ago, but it shows possible history for my family. We also went into the tavern, Juniper found a phamplet here that seemed to be from an organisation that helps people I need. She mentions this could help RuHa, who apparently needs to take care of some baby that isn't her own? We narrowly escape being attacked by a weird plant creature that Folium discovered and Thorgrot barred up. Outside we do find another creature like that, we aren't lucky enough and it sees us. We engage in combat, before we know two others show up. We managed to kill them all.

Turns out that the Lizard hit a Dwarf on the head, a little hard. On the other side there's an half-orc, violently slashing through the foliage in the distance. An Elf has shown as well, she is crying hysterically. My first thought is that we are being ambushed, making me pull my sword. The Lizard shouts for us to stop, talking about a misunderstanding. The half-orc gets closer, putting her weapons away and showing her hands while trying to soothe the elf. It's odd that these species are here in this forest. They're not dressed like druids. I ask them why they are here. The lizard got a bit explosive, so I tried to stop her by putting my hand on her head. The dwarf introduced himself as Thorgott, the Lizard as Folium. I ask if they have seen the blue glowing deer. No one seems quite aware of them. Are they even from around here? I decide to introduce myself as Ludwig. Afterwards the half-orc is introduced as RuHa and the Elf as Juniper. Thorgott wants to stick together. I agree, with numbers having a higher survival rate. Juniper also seems to agree, but phases it as us being her escort. I do not know how to feel about this.

In the distance there's some rustling. I'm still a little too much in thoughts to notice much.

Near coin square, I meet a lizardfolk that looks like the druid from the blue herd. My heartbeat rises drastically, I can feel the heat under my armour as I step towards her. We stare at each other for what feels like forever, as I finally speak up I ask her; "What were those blue deers?", she tells me she has nothing to do with it. "Were you not that druid?" She tells me that she has no clue what I am talking about, seemingly unbothered by this interaction. Erm..Maybe this was the wrong person...I feel like an asshole.

I had time to think about the ordeal, as much as my head would allow to. The druids always have been peaceful, at the other side of the forest. The few visitors being calm and collected despite the stratocracy that plagues my home, seeing them as an enemy to their order. I can't bring the head of an innocent druid in the name of *that*. I'll have to find a reason for these blue deer, complete my initial mission rather than this bloodthirst.

Session 1: In the lost warrens

I woke up to my brother and the Svagern (dragonborn-tabaxi). My brother was there as well, standing over my body. She said she wanted to find help, and brought him instead. He talks to me about betrayal, that I reek of it, and of magic. My actions having been against order. My head hurts from what I've seen. He tells me to go after the druid, bring her skull. He leaves me behind. I ask Svargern where the druid pathfinder went. Svargern is concerned about following me, that the betrayal might follow her as well and she'll get banished. I tell Svagern to go after my brother, return to camp. It is what best for her. After looking around, seeing that the deers are gone and the forest is calmed, but still changing. I start to make my way to where they took the druid. I don't know if I'll be able to do this, but I can't stay here.

Me and dragonborn-tabaxi went to the forest. The forest seems to be ever changing, some paths are suddenly overgrown, new clearings, some still remain the same. We're confused, she asks me what is happening and how we can allow this to happen. I told her that nature does what it wants and that we shouldn't intervene. She didn't seem to like that, shrinking in on herself. At a clearing, we see deers. They're not like our usual deers, instead they're blue and glowing. The sky above them is thunderous, purple and blue. We can see a druid pathfinder interact with one of the deer, petting it. Maybe they're in on this after all, as my brother had said. I don't want to believe it, with of his usual sayings, but now it is right in front of me. The dragonborn-tabaxi wants to aim at the druid, pulling up her bow. I can barely stop her, pushing her bow away before being pushed into the deer myself. The antlers hit my armor. I am thrown between what is and what isn't. I can see angels falling and turning into demons. The city being built stone by stone. Marching in the street. Marching until there is nothing left to march on. Imagery of relgion and militia. An angel who cries blood, a dragonborn who does the same. A sword coming down. Purpose?

I've been sent out, together with the dragonborn-tabaxi girl to go figure out what is happening in the forest and if the herd has anything to do with this. One of the dragonborn generals gave me a map with information. At least I'll get to spend some time in the forest again.

The session

Encountered an enemy in Coinsquare that was a plant-transformed man. After defeating successfully, we went to the market where Juniper said there was a store that was mentioned in one of the other buildings. Inside was a diary. RuHa read this out for us. Something about the trees and a woman turning into a tree.
