Born to a noble family in Aquitaine in the late 8th century, he traveled as a sage and bard offering work for many noble courts. It wasn't until Duke Jakob Walder requested his services where he found a more permanent residence as the chancellor and regent to the duke, and eventual King of Waldermore. Qyburn has a reputation of being the expert negotiator, many view him as the man responsible for securing the peace with Aquitaine during the Waldermore Independance War.
