Appearance
Physical Description
Garm is not even remotely agile or dexterous. He weighs in at solidly over 450 pounds, and usually carrying gear to make that over 500, though he is not unfit. On the strong side even for a tortle, his build is wide and muscular rather than fat.
Body Features
Garm has dozens of scars from an uncountable number of battles, the largest being a parallel set of claw marks across the left side of his face, which he received from a werewolf shortly before executing it.

Personal history
Garm grew up in rural Vergassi, but moved to the city after proving himself talented in chemistry and chemical engineering. His talent was leading him towards a life of research and study, as was normal for an intelligent Vergassan. However, he hated the idea of being trapped in an office for hours daily; a life of freedom appealed to him far more. He escaped his assignment the only way he knew that wouldn't make him a criminal: he began his mandatory five years in the Vergassan army. There he applied his chemical knowledge in the use of specialist weaponry such as black powder artillery and flamethrowers. Though he grew to be a capable fighter, he had no love of warfare, and was relieved to see his five years come to an end. Upon his return to Vergassi, though, he found reintegration with normal society impossible. After struggling for some time to find a role in society he felt comfortable, he ended up leaving home for good. Ultimately, what felt most comfortable to him was to be a sort of nomadic warrior, searching for treasure and using his skills to help those in need that he came across. Most recently, he was cooperating with the Scavengers looking for loot in a ruin near Sildurslate, where there was some kind of puzzle door that would only allow groups of exactly 5 pass at once. The team abandoned the freelancer, leaving him to contend with the traps and monsters alone; until he was found by a group of adventurers who'd recently lost a teammate.
