Appearance
Physical Description
About as short as you'll ever see a fully mature Kobold. At a distance his loose robes make him look wire thin, but he's often seen carrying around a shield about as big as he is. Adventuring and the hard life of being a Kobold has left him with low body fat and a build resembling a gymnast.
Facial Features
Some kobolds are known to have ears, Triznag is one of these. He has two long pointed ears atop his scaled head and an angular chin. His brow ridges make him look angrier than he usually is.
Identifying Characteristics
His body is scarred from his recent adventures, some have begun to heal and blend in with his pale scales, but a notable few remain. He has a scar from a slashing wound on his tail, a hefty chopping scar on his left shoulder, a puncture scar that looks like it's been pierced a few times through the middle of his torso, a scar incision on his left midsection. He also has darker, dull scales (resembling a dead tooth) peppered on the left side of his torso starting under his arm and up to his neck. While most of these scars are obscured from sight by clothing, he hides the necrotic scales on his neck with concealer.
Apparel & Accessories
He wears the vestments of his god Feldorn, the profile of which can be described as "generic cultist robes" at a glance. The black hooded robes lined with an orange fabric on the cuffs of his sleeves and the bottom of the robes.
When clad in armor he has Half Plate, the top of his body covered in a fine set of Dwarven Plate from the blacksmith Jane. Though he often keeps his head uncovered to maintain his peripheral view. His long robes covering his legs, and the gauntlets on his arms making him resemble a knight templar than a proper caster. While fully armored he carries around a large round shield, which he procured from his late master's horde in the Southlands, it is far too big for a Kobold.
Armored or not, he's usually carrying his shortsword, a simple and practical blade with a black tint to the center of it. The hilt is dark grey and the handle is black leather with red accents.
He is always wearing his Holy Symbol around his neck, which is a huge amulet resembling a yellow skull, and resting just beneath it is a Periapt of Wound Closure. Over top of these rests his Goggles of Shade when not in use, though sometimes they'll be worn over his eyes or on top of his head. On his belt he wears several pouches, a Bag of Holding, and a Portable Hole folded and tucked on the opposite side of the belt from the bag. Also on his belt are his Component Pouch and his Spell Book, and a Decanter of Endless Water, among other misc items that might suit the occasion such as potions, or a lantern while adventuring.

Personal history
Although having no real mother and father to speak of due to his tribe raising their children communally, Triznag was left an impression by, essentially, the 'nanny' kobolds that fulfill the role of raising the young of his tribe, learning from them the basic survival skills that kobolds need to succeed. Occasionally he would be picked on by the other hatchlings for looking different, the egg tenders would not interfere, as this served to toughen him up early on.
Upon his coming of age, his preference in tribal roles was irrelevant, and his place was chosen for him. The tribal chieftains acknowledging that he had an affinity for animals and an above average capacity for intelligence, but allowing him to lead the hunt could cause problems for them in the future, a pale scaled figure of authority would be a thorn in their sides, and so he would be a farmer.
Unaware of the tribal politics behind the decision he fell into his role, learning some rudimentary medicine from having to tend sick and hurt animals, how to cook from the Kobolds he'd been apprenticed to, and the good nutrition of living on a farm kept his mind from becoming dull.
Eventually he was noticed by the dragon living in the same caves as the tribe, Shara'ishtar, and much to the disdain of he Chieftains he was allowed entry to his chambers and allowed to learn how to do things like write and read, books on history as well as arcane tomes he didn't at the time understand, but enjoyed looking at anyway.
His life continued in the tribe well into adulthood, being able to come and go from his Master's chambers at will. This annoyed the chieftains, but made him popular with the younger generation. He was always being asked questions, accusatory from the tribe leaders and curious from the more common Kobolds, starting to become a known figure around the tribe despite just being a farmer who liked to read.
Over time he would more often be tasked to leave the caves to perform errands for his Master, exposing him to nearby human settlements, trading knowledge or items. On one such excursion he returned to find his tribe recovering from an attack, his master's chambers breached and much to his horror, the dragon Shara'ishtar slain, and the chieftains telling him to forget about him and serve the tribe.
Devastated, Triznag locked himself in his Master's chambers to prepare him properly for a funeral fitting of a dragon, not wishing to have the chieftains who by then he knew hated his Master simply discard the corpse. Combing through books in the dragon's horde he'd never been permitted to read, as well as some he'd obtained with his own resources while on errands, he learned of the dark god Feldorn, and found comfort in his teachings; death is false, the afterlife is slavery, the life beyond life is undeath and those worthy would retain their agency, he would dedicate himself to this god to free his Master's soul from the afterlife.
Though he never heard the dark god's voice himself, he found that his pleas had been heard, opening the grand door of his Master's chambers with Thaumaturgy and dragging his severed skull in tow, he immediately set off on a self imposed quest to bring him back to the material plane, one way or another.
Education
Standard Kobold education from his tribe of Gray Scaled Kobolds of the Southlands, how to feed yourself in the wild and not kill yourself in the mines.
Advanced Kobold education from his Master, Shara'ishtar. Learned to read, write, and at least view arcane texts beyond his comprehension. Speaking with a dragon so often helped him refine his verbal communication skills, and he learned some of the history of the lands outside the tribe's caves.
Apprenticed as and later worked as a Farmer for his tribe, learned food preparation, cooking, how to handle animals, advanced survival skills like growing and tending crops. As well as some minor medical knowledge from tending farmhand injuries and sick animals.
Further refined speech and learned human customs and etiquette by running errands in human territory for his Master, as well as bartering for goods and services.
After his master's death and during his quest, he furthered his medical knowledge in the field by tagging along with bandits and monsters, healing their wounds both with his mundane knowledge and magical.
He is intimately familiar with the written teachings of Feldorn, which involve the beliefs the cult nearest his region followed, the rituals, the times of the year that are relevant for tribute to the dark god, funerary rites and similar. How to actually use the divine power he's been granted has come with experience and intuition from prayer rather than texts.
Finally finding real allies with the party, he tried to copy Edrigan's rituals, and in doing so was picked up as the Necromancer's Apprentice, beginning his studies into being a proper Wizard. Over time he has refined this into a mixed style of magic involving both the Divine and Arcane, becoming a Theurge.
Employment
Former Black Contract holder for Lafoux.
Currently one of the two Lords of Fellhaven with all the lordly duties that entails.
Performs public religious services in the name of Feldorn during the evenings.
Secretly working part time at The Prismatic Hourglass under an alias to improve his Alchemy.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Rapidly increased his position in society over the course of just one month.
Turned into a dragon a couple of times.
Failures & Embarrassments
He doesn't want people to know about his humble origins and projects himself as more than he is.
Mental Trauma
Being forced to fill the role of a sedentary version of himself who just stayed with his tribe instead of beginning his quest to resurrect his Master during the encounter with the Mind Vault has made him deathly afraid of becoming complacent with his position, to the point of overworking himself frequently.
Morality & Philosophy
Triznag is self serving but abides by the law. He often fantasizes about doing violent things but knows in the interest of self preservation he cannot behave that way in polite society, taking any opportunity when combat starts to indulge.
He knows he is considered "Evil" on a cosmic scale, but in his deep belief for Feldorn he finds those who judge him this way misguided. Since he is a Cleric and very aware of he differences between Positive and Negative energy, rather than considering himself "Good" he instead sees himself as "Right".
Being aware that an Evil action when discovered has a higher moral cost in society and can harm reputation, and knowing he is horrible when it comes to deception and lying has molded his attitude when dealing with people. He knows a true friend might overlook an evil act and that a servant or slave might hold it against you. So despite serving an Evil god and having Evil goals, he is nice to as many people as he can be, and genuinely tries to form lasting relationships where trust goes both ways.
Known Languages
Common, Draconic, Celestial.
Currently studying Elvish.
Personality
Motivation
The thing that keeps Triznag going is the goal of one day resurrecting his Master to the Material Plane, whether that is in an undead body or a living one is irrelevant to him.
Recently he's found other things to live for, like his friends in the party and his family, but just because he has somewhere to return to when it's over doesn't mean he's going to slow down getting there.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Triznag is unusually good at picking up new things involving magic, to the point of frequently being called a "Freak" by Edrigan. Piecing together what he'd remembered reading in his Master's chambers with the practical knowledge he learned from traveling with Edrigan he took his first steps into becoming a proper Wizard in only a few weeks.
He is a very poor liar and wears all of his emotions on his sleeve. If he's up to something, it's very obvious.
His overconfidence in himself has led to him getting very hurt on more than one occasion.

Contacts & Relations
Positive Relationships:
In an adventuring party with Edrigan, Creed, and Xanthur.
Edrigan's apprentice, and thinks he's more of a softie than he lets on.
Friend and loyal ally of Creed, Creed has saved Triznag's life more than once.
Intimidated by, but allied to Xanthur.
Soul bonded and married to Mael.
Very close with Artemis, sees his situation as one he could have ended up in if he had never found Feldorn and wants to lift him out of it.
Has respect for Dregg and takes his wishes for Mael seriously. Triznag thinks he is mysterious and cool. He wants to consider him a friend but feels like he has a few hundred years of catch-up to do to be on that level and not just a mote in his long history of contacts.
Negative Relationships:
Made a horrible first impression with Lord Urza shortly after the death of Lafoux, Triznag is on his kill list now.
Triznag is tense with Luminee, Triznag compartmentalized the blame of his Master dying by Luminee's hand when he learned a Geas was involved and places that blame instead on Urza, but he needs to learn more before he decides if he hates him or not.
