82. The bois are back in town Report
General Summary
7th Rhaan, 999 YK
- Dax' Athla goes to train with Llyr, because they need to leave in the morning.
- Warden plants some of his mushrooms in the fort's garden.
- Dax speaks to Lei d'Cannith about Sheriff. Sheriff is truly dead, and can't be repaired. She could be resurrected, but that's expensive. Lei says that salvaging her is an option.
- Dax speaks to Warden about what to do. They don't know if Sheriff had any religious beliefs. Warden thinks that salvaging her is the best option, as if she was buried she would just remain there forever.
- They plan to do a ceremony to put Sheriff to rest, but it needs to wait until they return from their mission.
- Dax stores the Khyber Shard in the same chamber as the Oracle of War.
8th Rhaan, 999 YK
- The party head into New Cyre to meet with Nyrielle Tam.
- Nyrielle informs them that she tracked Swords of Liberty activity to the region surrounding Xandrar. She scouted the dhakaani ruins opposite the city, and managed to locate a compound that is occupied, with operatives moving in and out.
- The King's Swords are waiting for her signal to take the compound. She believes they can apprehend the Red Owl, with fewer casualties, if she goes in with the Mist Walkers on a stealth mission. The King's Swords will be ready to reinforce.
- They will travel via Lightning Rail from Starilaskur to Passage, and then walk from there to Xandrar. In total, it's a 20 day journey.
28th Rhaan, 999 YK
- The party, accompanied by Nyrielle Tam arrive in Xandrar. Nyrielle escorts them to the office of the King's Citadel, where they meet with Knight-Marshal Maril Baker.
- Maril refers to Nyrielle Tam as Dark Lantern Thorn. The party make note of this, as they have a prophecy!
- Warden sends Nova to scout the ruins. Nova doesn't see any patrols, but does see a large group of people enter a building. Presumably the compound that Thorn scouted.
- There are three entrances, one in the back and two in the front. The two entrances have windows, revealing what appears to be a Reception and something like a bank tellers.
- They discuss possible approaches, but decide on entering through the backdoor. Lozaal and Thorn both have thieves' tools.
- They cross the bridge into the ruins and make their way to the Swords of Liberty compound. Warden casts Pass Without Trace.
- Lozaal casts Aid on Dax' Athla, Kalshana and Warden. He then casts Longstrider on Lozaal and Terfel.
- Then we have to end the session because it's been 3 hours, but next week! Next week the Red Owl and their followers are FUCKED!
