45. Taking a Home Part 2 Report

General Summary

21st Barrakas, 998 YK

• They continue to fight against the Swords of Liberty. They manage to disable most of the Swords, including the Dire Wolf, though a few flee into the woods and mountains.
• Lozaal continues to get brutalised by one of the wandslingers.
• Terfel struggles with Shura's influence, trying to get him to kill the enemies they had incapacitated. He manages to resist initially, but the room full of injured people they moved everyone into was too much for him, and the party had to talk him down.
• Warden  used Heat Metal to attempt to get Terfel to drop the kanabō, and gets hit. Kalshana  then gets him to drop it with Command, and he falls to his knees.
• They place Shura in another room.
• They find correspondence in one of the rooms, revealing that the Swords have spies in New Cyre, as well as many locations they had hit. On top of targets in Breland, they had also been targeting Thrane and Darguun.
• Lozaal recovers his equipment.
• They interrogate the Dire Wolf, but she stone walls them. It seems like she has some history with the Valenar, possibly captured by them. There is some talk of ideology, she believes what she says.
• Dax' Athla and Lozaal go to New Cyre to fetch the militia and detain the Swords. They lock most of them in a room and wait it out.
• They will take this fort!
• Looting the Swords, they get another 400 salvage.
