4. Ikar's Salvage Report
General Summary
It is the 10th of Therendor, 998 YK.
- The party wait for the Cyran Head to leave, and then correct the wagon's orientation.
- They find the Cannith Manufactory, and loot it. Terfel Glas and Kalshana went to retrieve the wagon.
- They loaded it up, and slowly escape from the abandoned district.
- They get back to their horse and attach it to the wagon. They are approached by Meritamen, who expresses shock at the amount of what they've found.
- They agree to give Meritamen the key to the workshop, so she can send a team to recover the rest of the salvage. She offers to pay them for the materials, but she needs to get the release of funds authorized.
- The party stays at the inn while waiting, Warden stays with the wagon to guard it.
- It is now the 11th of Therendor, 998 YK.
- Meritamen pays them 150 gp for the materials they left in the workshop.
- They leave Vathirond and start heading back towards New Cyre via Starilaskur.
- Along the road to Starilaskur, near the Lurching Tower, the party come across another wagon with a lone driver.
- They assume it's an ambush and approach cautiously.
- The lone driver is a dwarf named Klemens Fuchs. He's nice enough, has an Irish accent.
- Klemens works for Ikar's Salvage, a Mournland Salvaging group operating out of Salvation.
- Salvation has an agreement with the Brelish government, they can operate but have to give nobles first pick of what they recover. Klemens figures it doesn't specify Brelish nobles, so giving it to Oargev is fair enough.
- Klemens accompanies the party all the way back to New Cyre, where he sells his salvage.
- The party arrives back at New Cyre on the 24th of Therendor, 998 YK.
- Oargev congratulates the group on another success. New Cyre has been busy, several new buildings are being erected and they've started the process to open a mine in the mountains to the south.
- Oargev pays each of the group 27 gp, their wages for the days they were gone.
- The group now has some downtime.
