49. Cold Shoulder Report

General Summary

14th Olarune, 999 YK

• They leave Flamekeep on their journey down to the Greenhaunt and then the Mournland.

16th Olarune, 999 YK

• They see the Face of Tira, wow a big head

18th Olarune, 999 YK

• They arrive in Danthaven.
• They ask around and hear a few variations on the story of the Sacred Bell of Saint Cassia, but the stories are inconsistent and don't agree on specifics.
• During the day, the group is approached by templars who have detected the presence of the fiend within Dax' Athla . They arrest her, and Kalshana for moral support, and take her to a church for questioning.
• Dax tells the templars her story, and she channels the Flame in front of them as evidence. The templars received a vision before she arrived in town, warning them that she was possessed.
• The templars let them go, and apologise for the inconvenience.
• They spend some time in Atonement, a shop that sells bells. The shopkeeper is certain the Sacred Bell is real and is also probably a bell.
• In the evening they attempt to summon Kosaten, but he doesn't answer the call.
• Afterwards, Dax asks Kal to teach her to meditate, and she gives it a go.
• She does not experience inner peace, but instead seems to momentarily form a stronger connection to her fiendish passenger. The fiend saps the heat from her body, and the campfire.
• The demon whispers into Dax's mind, "That won't keep you warm."
• In her panic, Dax lights a tree on fire with Dragon's Breathe to warm up, which prompts Warden to use a Wall of Water to prevent the spread. Lozaal uses magic to heat a blanket for Dax.

20th Olarune, 999 YK

• 5th Anniversary of the Day of Mourning. Kalshana sends Terfel Glas a message via sending.
• Siebold Adelbertskrieger also sends a message to Kal, from Llyr Glas.

23rd Olarune, 999 YK

• They cross the border into Aundair. The border guards are far more hostile than the guards at the Brelish/Thrane border.

  24th Olarune, 999 YK

• Arrival in Lathleer. This town kinda sucks tbh
• Lozaal asks around about Warden's squad, and where they might be able to find out more about where they might be. He gets pointed towards Passage.
• The party decides their next stop is Passage, and then onwards to Arcanix.
