The owner of Whistledown Cutters, Alymora is a successful business woman in Otari. Her company is one of the three large lumber companies in Otari. She's invested her wealth to bolster Otari's educational services, a shrewd move that's made her admired by Otari's parents. -
Carman Rajani
A bitter man who boast of being descended from one of Otari's founders and Roseguard, Vol Rajani. -
Jona Clay
Jona is a loyal member of the Otari Guard. Mild mannered and resolute, he carries himself like both a soldier and a dignitary. He was previously a member of the Kortos Calvary and forced into an early retirement after an accident on his horse in combat. Jona had ambitions of moving through the ranks and being a valiant soldier. Maybe this is his second chance. -
Keeleno Lathenar
A dour, humorless man who owns Otari Market. His store and personality is emblematic of it's operating hours. He is open every day from dawn to dusk, with one exception: keeleno closes the market down on every Gozran 5th in honor of his dear departed wife, Ayla, who was mauled to death 30 years ago. -
Klorte Hengus
Old orc who is the foreman at Otari Lumber. He was once a gladiator in Absalom, but has since retired to a simpler life. -

Morlibint
Morlibint is a middle-aged man with short, red hair and a perpetual scowl that quickly transforms into a smile when he identifies a fellow bibliophile. He is a Wizard and owner of the Otari's book store, Odd Stories. Morlibint specializes in fanciful books of fiction, and allows his husband, Carlthe, to handle the non-fiction. -
Oloria Gallentine
A retired Immenwood ranger and owner of Gallentine Deliveries. Her company handles Otrai's post, both within town limits and beyond. -
Mayor Oseph Menhemes
Oseph Menhemes is the mayor of Otari and is the descendant of Aesephna Menhemes. -
Yinyasmera
A lanky expressive woman and owner of the Crook's Nook. While she's never run for mayor, her influence in town remains as strong as that of any publicly elected official thanks to her position in the Osprey Club. Yinyasmera keeps her illicit operations from overly inconveniencing Otari's citizens and economy, so Captain Longsaddle turns a blind eye. She has a friendly relationship with Slade and Cowen as they are also members of the Crook's Nook.

500 Years ago, 4244 AR, the powerful sorcerer Belcora Haruvex is defeated by a band of Heroes called the Roseguard. The heroes caught wind that the daughter of the exiled Haruvex family had returned to the Isles of Kortos, and she was constructing a strange inland light house near Absalom. The heroes investigate the lighthouse and are attacked by Belcora. After defeating the sorcerer, seal the lighthouse, and mourn the death of Otari, one of the groups members, the party retires. They found the city of Otari, named after their fallen ally, and settle not far from Gauntlight.
500 years have passed, and it's the year 4721 AR. Gauntlight has remained quiet since the Rosegaurd defeated her. It seems that tranquility will not last for the little town of Otari. Evil, once again, stirs inside the walls of Gauntlight. The city will require the aid of heroes to investigate and root out the evil once and for all.
