General Summary

Resting after their defeat of the angler worm, the party felt able to continue their descent into the darkness following the river beneath Allgringthveit . They soon found themselves in an old lava tube. And things got dangerous. Blasts of superheated steam and gas caught several party members before they were able to listen for the ticking of pressure build-up and avoid any further scalding. It seems as though this danger was behind them when Badalona Ailendogs 's Moon-touched blade suddenly went dark. They had found an odd area that nullified magic deep underground. As Alok Ravaralei attempted to traverse the tunnel to ascertain the extent of the field he was attacked, and possessed by a trio of Intellect Devourers. A short, sharp, and savage battle followed with Alok fighting his teammates for most of the duration. Finally, a cornered Intellect Devourer forced Alok to jump into the underground river to make its escape. Badalona found himself also jumping in before the current took them some way down the river. Their friends were able to pull them out and they could finally negotiate the anti-magic zone safely. But the journey underground was not finished testing the Five Fingers of Dorwine. For now, the tunnel has merged with the river and it looks like they're going to have to hold their breath to get through the next stage...
