G2 - Session 1: Asking Alexander Report

General Summary

Fred Teach, ex navy pilot of the Spes people had a job, something to finally give him a reason to leave home. Fukui Yutsuko owner of Endo Resu entertainment asked him to retrieve an individual from New Eden , Alexander Strauss. A man under house arrest for reasons unknown. Lending him a ship, some muscle, a face, and most importantly...the possibility of freedom. Fred took off for New Tokyo traveling alone for a couple months to first pick up part of the crew, Hiro Shonin and Klaus Von Hasslehoff.   Hiro Shonin, former Merchant Marine for Mishima Corporation, down on his luck and looking for work was fortunate enough to have connections. Unfortunately some of those connections were through his mother. After months picking up small odd jobs, a friend of his mother, Fukui contacted him about some work. It's unclear how she knew a bit of his past, but she knew he was capable helping a small smuggling job. She dangled the carrot of good money, not seeing a quicker out, he took the job. Knowing to meet the man with pin of a crane, he awaited the arrival of the LWSS Hurricane.   Klaus Von Hasselhoff, actor extraordinaire, hadn't had an acting job in quite some time. While he was fine living off the money of his filmography, things were starting to dry up. A close "friend" of his, Fukui, hit him up. While he assumed this was a social visit, it became clear Fukui was actually looking for him to pull off a job. A heist? A smuggling attempt? Either way, he knew this would only add to his fame if he pulled it off. Fukui understood he had connections in New Eden and knew the landscape. She gave him a pin of a simple crane, and the task of boarding the hurricane.   Alexander Strauss, scientist with a dubious history.  Currently asked by Fukui to be a part of an upcoming documentary.  When the man with the pin of crane arrived, he was surprised to see Klaus, a man he recognized as being the son of a couple that used to serve in an order below his father's in the Triratna political structure.  Klaus and Hiro, bribed a local vagrant to switch to take his place under house arrest.  Alexander, never having really thought of making such an attempt, quickly analyzed his ankle bracelet, transferring it to the homeless man.    First part of the mission successful, the group takes off in the Hurricane, making their way to New Tokyo.  In the passing months of their long journey, Hiro notoriously tried to get the crew to gamble and drink, finding a quick companion in Klaus who was also susceptible to such debauchery.  Alexander on the other hand studied the engine, sometimes with the help of Hiro, finding that the power plant of the ship was unlike any other he'd seen.  A patch work ensemble of unnecessary pieces, duct tape, and dangerously exposed materials.  Almost if created by a mad man with both an amazing understanding of power but no understanding of machinery.  Hiro, trying to get a better understanding and a bit of an education also tried pressing for information from Alexander but found himself stonewalled.   Fred, strict military teachings never leaving his mind kept the ship going and on track.     Upon first crossing into Mishima space, the crew trying to avoid "unregistered persons" fees went ahead and gave the travel visas to the Mishima government, a possible mistake.  Quickly realizing that continuing to do so would be a bad idea, they continued to stow Alexander in a hidden cryo compartment Hiro had created on the ship.  Despite their attempts to hide Alexander's presence on the ship it appears his past still caught up to him when they arrived Takamagahara Station.  After refueling and attempting to leave, they see a group of three armed men waiting in their docking bay.  Hiro quickly pushed Alexander into a side hall before Jin could see him and Klaus and Fred approach what appeared to be the man in charge.  Jin Fletcher believes they are harboring Alexander, claiming that he owes his boss a finished R&D project and he's come to bring him back with him.  Despite repeated denial by Fred, Jin doesn't believe him and offers 500,000 credits for the return of Alexander.
