New Eden Organization in After Earth | World Anvil

New Eden

Structure

New Eden is Governed by the Seven Orders of Seven. When some decides to become a member of government, they cannot do that on their own. Instead, they must find at least 6 other people who believe as a unit they will govern well. When one of these groups form they become what's called a Red Order of Eden, this does not give them any governing power but allows them to try and become an Orange Order of Eden, which governs either a city district or small city or town. Debates are held every 7 years and then the citizens of that community decide which Red Order will be promoted to Orange.   From this point Orders can continue to be promoted by the people, ranking up in color and allowing them for governing power over larger and larger areas. They can also be demoted in color or even completely removed as an order. Any member of an order that is removed from office is no longer able to join another order.   The Seven Orders of Seven and their area of control:   Red Order of Eden: None.
Orange Order of Eden: Small cities/towns or District in a Large City.
Yellow Order of Eden: Large cities or a collection of small cities/towns.
Green Order of Eden: Large area/continent of a planet.
Blue Order of Eden: Entire Planets.
Indigo Order of Eden: An area of space, normally containing 2-4 Planets.
Violet Order of Eden: Entire New Eden Space.

Agriculture & Industry

New Eden is the largest Agricultural supplier of all the corporations, they have a mission to keep all of their citizens fed and happy no matter what their economic situation. Being a farmer in New Eden territory is largely seen as the most respectable job one can hold.   New Eden's next biggest industry is Medical and Cryo-Tech related. No other corporations match the advances in medical that New Eden has.

Education

All citizens of New Eden are given the equivalent of high school education. Once graduated, both the government and the freshly graduated student work to find a trade that they both enjoy and are suited for and placed in a education solely focusing on that future career.   It is noted that some of the citizens don't like that they have to qualify for their careers coming fresh out of high school, for instance, if you want to be a painter but don't have the necessary skill sets, you will have to find another career you are better suited for.
