The party spent the night in the cave that the brigands had used as a home. Michael spent the time healing his grievous wounds. By dawn, he was well enough to walk, but not much beyond.
Party fights pirates, which have been prominent since the Empire of Corgastor pulled back its navy during the Drakarian Wars. They survive, slaughter the surrendered pirates, and continue to the capital island of Nevan. What the motives of the pirates, beyond plunder and slaughter, might be is unknown.
The party coordinates with Rus Cooper to have the ship meet them at Squall’s End after it is repaired. Ideally, they will meet at around the same time, then sail southward to Baymouth Landing.
The story of Ka’hran is that he was to be the Shaman of his tribe, but an opposing faction attempted to undermine him. Viktor stepped in with interest and bailed the young tribal ruler out from destruction.
The party decided that they were going to take a two pronged approach to acquire the cargo. Drayton and Michael would take a light cargo runner and sail along the coast until they found the cargo, then pack it all onto the ship for the trip to Squall's End.
Drayton received a letter from Ser Luthar Fergen informing the party that a raid had been conducted against Lucius Grey in Squalls End, but that he was not present. The letter also said that pursuing aggression against the Lentis colony was a viable secondary strategy.
Upon arrival to Squall's End, the party navigated its way to the Golden Pony Inn, where the cargo was originally going to be delivered. Drayton, Meriele, and Ingrid went to speak to the innkeeper to work out the economics of the contract, while Michael and the monk went into the city to sell some excess equipment.
Company is in camp training troops and visited by Robern Olsen IV, who gave them money for purpose. The party gives an estimation on the time table for taking the Lentis colony.
Party leaves Viktor's palace. They return to the island of Graeven with a new letter in hand and mission held within. A letter from Luther Fergen also arrives, asking for an update.
The party was in between a rock and a hard place whilst they waited in Papan. The Imperial support that was requested from Set Luther was not delivered to them and the local officials were profiting from blatant corruption and embezzlement.
The party left Squall's End the same afternoon, heading into the interior of the island. After a few hours of traveling they arrived at the small village of Willowdale, ruled by Alderman Atkins.
