Session 9: Grave Sightings Report

General Summary

The party spent the night in the cave that the brigands had used as a home. Michael spent the time healing his grievous wounds. By dawn, he was well enough to walk, but not much beyond. They charted a careful course back to Port Cedrin, making sure to avoid any more unfortunate conflicts. The party returned to Cedrin a few hours later, unharmed, which was good news.

Party speaks to captain of the Graeven, who informs them that the repairs for the ship would be an astronomical price of 1,500 Trade Alliance Coins, which was far beyond anything the party had on hand. Drayton checked his purse to make sure of it, and saw 26 coins jumbled about with his gear. That is somewhat infuriating. They depart the captain to speak with the port master about the job well done.

The party wakes up in the morning. Elina Cervelle is a cartographer picked up from the wreckage of a destroyed ship. It fell victim to some pirates. She wants to be returned to her home island, but Drayton informs her that they don't want to make any extra stops, given the intense activities of pirates.

After arriving in Papan, they moved straight to the Lentis Colony. Settle fish crate dispute of Dudley and Daniel. Come to conclusion that the merchant, who had allegedly sold to both men and left, had played them like fools. Drayton gives crate to Daniel, and whips 5 gold in the direction of Dudley. It was a minor dispute, but such is the nature of justice. From that time forward, all transactions would be recorded and all newcomers to the town would be recorded to avoid another dilemma.

Party orders ban on faith of Atûn, but otherwise holds on new edicts.

Drayton is judge

Michael appointed captain of the guard

Kane is appointed master of commerce

Meriele deals with education and lore

Drayton received a letter from Luther Fergen, who told him to prevent further chaos in the region, especially with the Empire of Corgastor losing grip due to the Drakarian war. The Sylenmyr fleet had been broke, sunk, and routed, with only a few dozen surviving vessels. Most of what remained in Nevan had to be relocated to contend with Etalian threat. Party should also work with Viktor for the moment, so that the Corgastorians could know the motives and aims of the IMF from the inside.

Party goes off to deal with brigand barricade set up along the road.

Viktor Alabastor and his advisers, Gerald and Sunara speak with party at Lentis colony. IMF is moving in new, exciting directions, and Viktor wanted to know about status of the town.
