It's been almost 20 years since Gehenna didn't happen. Back then, we all felt something in the air. We disagreed about what it was of course - Caine awakening, thin-blooded apocalypse, antediluvian killing spree, neonate rebellion. What none of us expected was that 2000 would roll around and... Things just continued. It took a while, but eventually, even the die-hard zealots started realizing that this was it. Not a grand end to the kindred, no judgment day, no Gehenna. Just more existence.
And that's where we are now. The feeling of the last millennium was dread. This one's, it seems, is disenchantment.
Without an ancient war to fight, the Sabbat is crumbling and the Camarilla is growing ever more influential, snaking its tendrils into every corner of the night.
In the Shadow Republic, mutterings of discontent are heard in every dark corner. The young ones are starting to see through the stories veiling their eyes, spun by their elders. The Camarilla is pressing in. It is a time of change. A time of opportunity. And a time construction and destruction.
