The Early Bird Gets The Worm

General Summary

At night some harpies come to investigate. The party attacks, but they try to flee. Suddenly the harpies fall from the sky as Master Kirr kills them mid-air.
The next morning they interrogate the owl harpy.
They take the leatherworker to take the measurements of the Chimera and leave the owl harpy with him with some of the party to make sure he doesn't kill her. The next morning the wings are done and they take him to the Chimera. He is able to adapt to them quite quickly and he goes to kill the leader griffon.
The battle is short as a griffon doesn't stand a chance against a Chimera.
The Chimera leads his griffons to the monastery where he drops the owl harpy from high above and finishes her with a fire breath and a bite.
A fight breaks out between the harpies and the griffon and the party kills some too. After the battle Velsharoon shows up to take a pint of griffon blood. He asks how Suiv is able to cast conjuration magic and finds out it's because of Amyntas, the unicorn. He pries deeper to find out Amyntas lives on Vaenor. He disappears again hinting he will be going to Vaenor next.
Well that sucks. The party decides to stay the night and fight the Chinook in the morning before hurrying off to Cammara and teleporting to Vaenor.
The try the same trick again with luring the Chinook down. It works because the Chinook is really hungry. They attack, but the Chinook takes Sandor and flies back to his nest. Suiv summons giant owls and some pursuit the Chinook, while others stay down. It is tight and before the end, the Chinook summons a warding wind around himself but eventually, the party is able to finish off the Chinook and the last 2 living harpies flee. The ether crystal, that the Chinook was holding, falls as the Chinook turns into the blue energy the party has become familiar with and plummets to the ground.
