Session 030 - Barbarians and the Walking Dead

The story so far
Quazzy has spent months trying to infiltrate the Church of Naveh hoping to undermine their plans to summon the Greater Gytevsha Krasula. She has passed all of their tests and been given the critical mission of obtaining an important package.
The heroes acquire the item, finding it to be one of the Demigod Desridaen's legendary Long-knives. They plan to substitute the knife with another lesser weapon, one previously concealed by Quazzy in a Dwarven Crypt when she escaped from a cult a few years ago.
We catch up with the heroes on their trip back to Coranan, traveling through a warzone, the Tulwyn barbarian nation is on the warpath.

Part 1 - Dead Visitors at Camp
While the heroes are camping on the foothills of Mt Serlu, Athena spots white objects moving towards them, bones reflecting the moonlight. They are attacked by undead, all skeletal although some are more decomposed than others. One was able to conjure bolts of flesh rotting magical energy and then traps Yureb in black paralyzing bands before attacking his immobile form. Quazzy uses her newly acquired spells, granted by her warlock patron, to create spheres of darkness, acid, and cold to slow their onslaught.
Part 2 - The Warzone
Heading through the Republic's recently settled Firis District the party sees a burning village. Investigating they find it is being sacked by the Tulwyn Barbarians and note a small building is surrounded by around twenty warriors who are planning to set it alight. The party attack with surprise, but the Tulwyn put up a good fight and battle to the last man, with their berzerkers leading from the front. Just as the heroes dispatch the last warrior, a small detachment of Cavalry from the Shiran Legion arrive to assist.
Inside the building are several severely wounded Legionnaires and civilians. One of the survivors Tremus Sudanava, a merchant, much praises the party efforts and then rewards them with some gems. Another, a young women Azieryn Deshi, which Athena identifies as a possible convert. Azieryn's family was killed by the Tulwyn, and she enthusiastically decides to join the Sisterhood of the Crimson Dancer after an inspirational speech.
Part 3 - The Last Stop before Home
A few days later the party arrives at Telen and Athena makes arrangements with her friends at the Black Forge to rework and refit the scraps of armor collected in the Dwarven tomb into usable platemail armor.
They also check in on Dominik, the priest who they helped escape the Order of the Cohorts of Gashang, he is alive and well. Athena uses the local Temple Pit of Eternal Fire, to summon her warhorse Zeva. She also learns that the temple's spies in the Temple of the Eight Demons have been lost in the last temple purge.
