Session 13: Into the fire Report
General Summary
For the longest time, you sit in [The Red Dragon Inn and discuss options, looking about you notice that the bar is almost empty, just the most diehard rummies remain.
During this time you discuss options:
In the end, you settled on a diversion and after even more discussion you decided on burning
The Library to the ground and while
The Elder Brotherhood attended to that devastation you'd enter their lair to free the slaves.
During the night, as you'd decided to sleep to regain your spells, two men were heard by
Struth Hackett talking below your window, evidently, they were planning on burning the inn to the ground with you inside. Agents of The Brotherhood no doubt!
Taking it upon himself
Struth Hackett exited the building and managed to sneak up behind them. Quickly dispatching one with his dagger he managed to chase the other down after he'd run from the fray. Thankfully the second fell without damaging his cloak so Struth was able to acquire it, which is fortunate as the Brotherhoods emblem is sewn into the lining.
Returning to the room Struth fell into sleep and on waking he informed his friends and
Barley Trowbridge, who didn't seem too worried about the implications.
Burning
The Library was relatively easy, you merely had to situate yourselves around the building, throw some
alchemists fire through windows and onto the roof, then make good your escape.
This went off without a hitch, and behold your friend
Gabriel 'Gayle' Garcìa even
teleported1 you back to
[The Red Dragon Inn
Once you'd settled your nerves you quickly scooted across to the
Middledocks and found docks 2 and 3 where you negotiated with a man called
Malcolm Docent who identifies as the Dock Master. He supplied two rowboats and even offered to keep the ledger clean for a price.
There you tied the boats together and took them under the boardwalk, after rowing for almost 20ft. you found the ledge that enters the cave where the slaves are being held. Securing the boats to a small outcropping of rocks you started to make your way in.
1 As DM I made the executive decision that you'd do this if there, and as a bonus, I stated that you'd not lose a spell for your troubles.
Rewards Granted
Finally getting some direction and deciding on a course you pulled it together more or less without a hitch, and now you find yourselves on the threshold of completing the Rescue the Dwarves plot.
For being a more or less cohesive team I award you 1600XP each.
Missions/Quests Completed
You've set on a course that will have it's reward's if you pull it off but will also bring with it additional heat from The Elder Brotherhood and likely the government after all you did burn the library down, a building associated with both organizations.
Character(s) interacted with
You interacted with the dockmaster, Malcolm Docent and discussed the renound fletcher Gilver Barrows who's known to make exquisite silver arrows.
