Session 12: The Elder Brotherhood Report

General Summary

The tavern was quiet and relaxed, after all, it was just before the lunchtime rush, Barley stood resolute polishing a mug as he often did in quiet times. The party sat at a table having soul food and drink remembering the good times with Fox. The melancholy was suddenly interrupted by a commotion outside.  

"EGOG IS COMING, HE WILL RETURN AND CLEAR THE WORLD OF EVIL!"

  Our side of the tavern a man is slinging insults at the crowd and prophesizing the return of the once all-powerful Egog, he has crazed hair and a pension for the extreme.   Seizing the opportunity Gabe heads into the street and approaches the man, offering him to come inside and rally to a captive audience. Seeing a chance to further his cause the man follows him into the bar.   Inside he begins to proselytize and attempt to convert patrons to his cause but it's quickly confused with circular arguments offered by Gabe, Struth, and Mal.   In frustration the man started yelling and causing a scene, at this Barley expelled him from the bar.

The party continued to morn the loss of Fox, and whole they cried into their beers a new bard took the stage, he was somewhat I'll experienced and quickly remove from the premises by Barley.   Seeing nothing for it he called on the help of Petros, who is more than happy the help, and with that Petros managers to create an arousing tale that thrills the audience beyond their wildest expectations. People clamoring into the bar and fill the space Barley couldn't be happier as he mans the bar.

Meanwhile at The Kings Tavern Dahlia and Albert have made themselves at home. Albert is quick to instruct Dahlia to head over to a table of rich well-to-do people and seduce them.   Once at the table she finds the men nervous and quickly manages to turn them into putty in her hands. It's revealed quickly that they are accountants for the wealthy upper class, or perhaps Parliament she continues to seduce them.   Meanwhile Albert is eyeing a fine gentleman in the corner with his mistress. The man is dressed in brilliant clothing his hair parted and trimmed, complexion clean. The woman has very dark skin, almost like burnt Ash while her hair is white and spilling down over her shoulders, she appears to be whispering into the man's ear.   After several moments Albert stands and places his hand on Dahlia shoulder and leans into her ear, "it's time to leave."   With that, she stands and exits the bar taking a hard left into the market stalls. Once concealed by the markets Albert advises her for the man they'd seen was in fact non-other than Henry Bourgios perhaps the richest man in all of Alisar.   As Albert gathers fruit and vegetables he continues to speak, "The woman is guiding him to gather more slaves for their operation, you must stop this at all costs." Albert collects some more fruit and then looks at Dahlia, "you must join were the band and together you can overcome the brotherhood this is now your task."   Agreeing to the arrangement Albert leaves her in the market giving her a quick sidelong glance and explaining that he has work elsewhere to complete before he vanishes into the darkness of the mall.   Dahlia hurriedly makes her way back to the Red Dragon Inn in the off chance that she can join the party she'd seen earlier, the ones who are mourning the loss of their friend.

Back at the Red Dragon Inn the party is off the hook, Petros is playing a fine wild tune on his lute and everybody's joining in, it's perhaps the biggest crowd Barley's ever seen in the Tavern.   Moving into the Tavern Dahlia finds a man to play dice and they take a seat at the main parties table and start to play. It quickly becomes apparent that this fellow is a thief as he's caught red-handed in Mal's bag. Barley is quick to expel the man, while the group seems keen to welcome this new wayward visitor into their group.   And as luck would have it she has information that can help them, and likewise, they have a quest that offers great riches.   A discussion is had in which they discuss the direction of their agreement and the direction of their future endeavors and adventures. It's decided that they will form a party and head off to free the slaves held captive by the Elder Brotherhood.   Heading upstairs at this point Mal makes contact with Fox and Deego with the aid of the Temporal Tincture. Deego reveals that the burning of Fox's body will not free her from this state, only an act of revenge will her wish to be to "Save the slaves" seems like a likely act. Deego also reveals that they've only four days in which to stop the Brotherhood from breaking into the Fallen Star cavern, once they do that who knows what will happen.   Back in the tavern the group enjoys more ale and they settle in to make plans for their next steps.

Missions/Quests Completed

You've been given a timeline of 4 days in which to either stop or delay the Brotherhood from opening the Catacombs.   You also discovered that an unknown species is working to revive Egog and that there are some worshippers aboveground who are welcoming this.   You also filled a vital role in your party with the addition of Dahlia.
