Session 38: He's The Bad Guy. Duh!

General Summary

Continuing their fight in the dining hall, the party defeated the noxious troll and giant tree, with Tamugar carving a T into the tree's trunk with his final blow. Wanting to avoid further trolls, the party went up to the battlements. Staying out of sight of a troll walking a large creature, they approached a large room built into the hillside, accessible from the battlements, on the far side of the fortress from the drawbridge. Looking through the lit windows, the party saw Elios questioning and torturing Saurivess the All-Seeing in a large war room with a map table. As the party rushed in, Elios vanished. Hearing footsteps on the roof above, the party quickly ran to the roof, ignoring the stairs down where Saurivess said she was being kept.   On the rooftop, the party saw a pair of trolls and a large pile of plant material. Engaging in combat, the party was ambushed by the invisible Elios, who killed the rescued Moonguard scouts and nearly killed Doug with a lightning bolt. Prevailing, Doug dealt the final blow to Elios with a frenzy of handaxes, while Tamugar got engulfed into the plant monster. Upon its defeat by Shadow, he placed a couple vines in the shape of a T on top of the rest of the plant material. The party turned to Rome , kneeling in shock beside her brother's body.
