Session 32: Must. Smash.

General Summary

The party left Eleth Telnara, flipping a coin and opting to head to the southeast. Following a road heading south along the east side of the Duskwend River, the party spotted, after a few hours, some fairly fresh cart tracks heading southeast into the forest. Guessing this was Rabanath and his donkey, they managed to follow the trail for most of the day, ending shortly before dusk at a ruined structure built of white stone. The donkey and cart were tied to a tree outside, standing on the grass that the donkey had nearly consumed. The structure's roof had collapsed in ages past, caving in from pillars, but under the debris, the party could see a partially-blocked stairway underground. After clearing the rubble somewhat, the party investigated, with Rome singing loudly. Emerging in a large room, the party investigated and found what looked like ruined tables, altars, and items for some type of clerical pursuits. Finding a doorway at the far end of a large room, the party prepared to head through it, with Rome ending her song, only to hear the sound of stone banging against stone in a form of applause. Looking back through the darkness, the party detected a large humanoid stone creature heading towards Rome. As it neared, Shadow reached out to it psychically, but it appeared to have a singular goal: "Must Smash". When the party entered combat, a second emerged from the ground, under which it had burrowed, causing slight tremors. As the party fought the pair of creatures and reduced them to shards of stone, they heard a voice from the unexplored doorway call out, "What have you done with our guardians?"
