The distracting nature of the banners for those not involved in the community events is annoying and not needed. I thought i had opted out of community announcements, yet I still got the summer camp reading challenge banner on my dashboard. I thought I had already turned those off. so it is upsetting to see the banner after I and assumed to be left alone.
The Team's Response
Already done! The Summer Camp banner was added only during Summer Camp (and part of the Reading Challenge), but was remove some days back from the world dashboard. It will stay in the global dashboard, as that's where users can get news about the community.
