What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
When using the Dice Roller feature, the Roller Alerts are all generically labeled "You Rolled:". When using the rollers during game play it can be difficult to remember what each roll was for -- especially when switching between multiple characters/pages:
I'm proposing an additional, optional parameter for the Dice Roller tag that would allow us to pass a Dice Roller Alert Label so that the alerts indicate what the roll was for when the additional optional parameter is specified:
The new parameter could be added to the Dice Roller tag like so: [ roll:3d6|Attack|Punch Attack ] or [ roll:1d6+2|d6+2|Punch Damage ]
When the optional parameter is specified, the text "You Rolled" would be replaced by the text of the new parameter. When not specified, the default label "You Rolled" would be used instead.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Being able to label the Dice Roller Alerts would make it much easier for game masters and players to review a stack of Roller Alerts and quickly see what each roll was for. On sheets with lots of roller buttons, it would also help one to verify that the correct Roller button was clicked. For game masters managing multiple NPCs, this would help with game management and keeping track of the flow of combat, etc..
The Team's Response
This is something we have discussed a lot and I love as an idea but every time it is suggested it get little to no support (as with this right now) I am accepting this as a way for me to discuss it with my team in terms of time for implementation.
