Military-unit -character settlement
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
If you create a military unit, you can define traning levels and assigned ranks, but you cannot add a leader or a settlement (as place of garrison)
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Adding two more drop-down interfaces to the military unit template (one for leader - looking in characters, the second for garrison - looking in settlements) would create two more connections, that would vice versa show the garrisoned military units on the settlement psage and the leaded units on the character page - crossreferring these pages.
What are other uses for this feature request?
If there is need for knowlegde how many and which military units are in a settlement, this feature would create and easy overview, maybe necessary for planning a siege (or a defense against one).

Thank you for this explanation. I can understand this choice and will adjust my articles ;-)
The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! We are declining this due to the intended usage of the template. The Military Unit template is meant to be used to describe types of military formations, rather than specific military organizations. For example, under this system, a legion is a military unit (as it would explain the concept of a legion, such as its weaponry and combat style), while a specific military group organized like a legion (for example, "the 5th legion") would use the Organization template (with the Military tab). Therefore, lead and location fields don't fit the template.
We will, however, rename the template to Military Formation to make this clearer.
