Alter number of lanes in a timeline in chronicles

chronicles chronicle timeline lane timelines lanes
Currently, timelines created in a chronicle have four "lanes" to place events into. The problem is, you can only have four - no more, no less.   Here's my actual use case for chronicles: I have an empire that I want to show the history of. I would love to have one lane for events relating to each of the five provinces in this empire's history, leading up to their annexation and beyond.   With four lanes, I'm stuck with a really unwieldly feature. Four lanes doesn't cover all of my provinces, and if I make five timelines in the chronicle (one for each province), the timelines will practically cover the map with all their lanes, because I can't make each one have only one lane. Plus, I'd never have enough events per province to justify having four lanes in each.   Frankly, I'm struggling to think of any timeline in my world where I would need exactly four lanes to convey everything I want to convey. It's a fairly arbitrary number and I'd love to be able to reduce or increase that number.   I *really* want to use chronicles. But this seemingly small limitation honestly turns me off from the entire feature.   Discussion: Reddit link
