What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
I have been using Manuscripts for this NaNoWriMo, and I'm finding it very difficult to keep my NaNoWriMo website updated with my total word count, because the Manuscripts total word count only updates once a day. I would like to request a 'manual' refresh, like a button you can click, so that the total word can be seen for competitions such as this. With a lot of words spread across a lot of scenes, it can be very difficult to manually add them up.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Many people write during NaNoWriMo throughout the day and frequently update their word counts, like me. This refresh button would make it easier for us to update our word counts and see how close/far we are from finishing the day's goal.
What are other uses for this feature request?
This would also be helpful just for people wanting to hit a certain word count goal for any reason, and being able to stay updated on how they're doing.

on 2021-11-02 22:22I don't use manuscripts very often, so I am not familiar with all of its features. I do notice however when I log in, it tells me how many words I wrote last session. If there is not a steady wordcount meter, I believe one would be very helpful! Thanks for suggesting this. God bless you.
