The abilty to search on words that are not at the beginning of the article, plus the use of the underscore to represent a space seems to me to provide all the functionality the OP wants already.
Search terms can be combined by using underscore to bridge over spaces...
This generally works if you start by typing any other word in the title of the article other than "the," as stated by Wordigirl below. I'm not sure if additional support is necessary/would be helpful to enough people.
Wordigirl has a good workaround, but allowing for multiple-word search (if it's possible technically) would be a small QoL feature that would make it more user-friendly.
Maybe introduce the possibility to use _ as a connector: "The_dark_master" would look for articles containing all three words
Your example is bad because the search checks the entire title, so like Wordigirl said you don't have to start with "The". That said, in large worlds with tons of articles, there's bound to be a few where you don't entirely recall the title and there's too many options, so you need a second search term to help narrow it down. For those case, a second search term might be nice.
I would like to let you know that there is already the ability to type different words after the @. Like me. I have "The Shining Lord" "The Mundbyrdians of Dryhtenhaven" and more "The"s, but you can actually just start typing @Lord and @"The Shining Lord" will also come up. Hope this helps. If you need more instruction, you can message me. God bless!
