What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Locations can presently have parents and children. This information is shown in a limited manner in the footer of the page.
- it must be expanded each time when navigating the tree
- it only shows 2 levels (immediate parent and children).
- it can't be included on another page like normal organization trees
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Its fairly straightforward: it allows for easier visualization and navigation without needing to manually maintain a second copy of the tree.What are other uses for this feature request?
I imagine future extensions might be to add similar autogenerated trees for other parent-child-siblings relationships or to allow for other cross-links to the visualizationThe Team's Response

on 2021-08-24 17:05A less involved implementation might be to expand the tag based chart inclusion. Instead of including based on tags you can include based on a template or based on parent / child relationships. It would then look up all connections (would take a bit of time) and then eventually generate the structure with the hierarchy. This way no new feature would have to be added and it would include all types of relations from the get go.
