Language Articles need a feature to display alphabetized word list, not only the search bar

language -dictionary -article -dictionary-list
While I love the dictionary search bar, there should be a way to display all word entries in an alphabetized list, much like Vulgarlang's display. It would allow for the readers to get a better sense of the overall rhythm of the language, like opening up a dictionary rather than typing words individually into a search bar. The search bar is a nifty addition to the language article, but it's just missing an overall word list to be perfect for me! If you agree, please cast a vote or two!

I'm seeing some responses that say this is possible..... I see how it would be possible to do it in one giant clump of prose - but not each word entry on its own neat line. I guess I'm a picky conlanger!   I do understand that we can paste the code into the text box which gives a lovely overview of all of language's rules, grammar, number system, phonetics, etc. But I was hoping for one step further to see the whole dictionary to scroll through. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

The Team's Response

Hey there :) You can already do that by using the dictionary's BBcode. Upgrades might happen in the future but the community has not given its support on this.

As was already said, you can get that alphabetical list by copying the dictionary link (click the clipboard icon on dictionary edit) and pasting it anywhere you want in the article.

I had this thought immediately when I started working language articles for the first time, it seemed like an odd oversight to not an easily accessible alphabetical dictionary.

This would also be useful for the authors like me.I can't always remember how to spell a word in the middle of typing a paragraph

It does feel weird that there isn't a word list in the dictionary article. It's easy to forget what words have been invented as a creator and someone else wouldn't even know what to look for in the search. Having the search is GREAT when you have a starting point. But if you just want to see what the language looks like, it's sadly limiting.

Yes please, very much! It also helps when simply scanning to see what words are available, because you usually won't know what words there are since fictional languages often leave large holds.
