What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
The ability to "mute" notifications or at least hide the notification counter. Since it's SummerCamp, I think the option to mute notifications for a brief period of time would be a great resource for those of us who may be easily distracted, as well as those with busy schedules like myself.
I find I only having brief periods throughout the day where I can write, and it can be challenging when you have so many notifications to go through and those red notifs are mightly alluring. They can also become a bit overwhelming during events, and sometimes I find myself just mass deleting when I find myself torn between reading and writing. I rather be able to "mute" them instead, and work may way through my peers content at my leisure.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Just a lil example mockup.
Adding the option to temporarily mute notifications, in my opinion, allows for more uninterrupted writing time, and allows anyone like me who may be a bit scatterbrained to focus on what really matters (writing),
when it matters.
(Without feeling guilty for not immediately reading every article that pops up in my feed.)
What are other uses for this feature request?
None that I can see.
