What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently you can see the secret button, only if there is a secret. Even when they don't have access to the secret. So the reader has an indication if there is one. That's especially problematic in RPGs. Players now know out-game that there is something hidden and can begin to look for it.
How does this feature request address the current situation? Either make the Secret button
Either make the Secret button permanent (even if there is no secret) or hide it if the viewer has no access to the secret.
What are other uses for this feature request?
Potential to save disk space and time for GMs. Since it was pointed out to me that my players can find out if there is a secret. I have begun, to circumvent this and added dummy secrets to all my articles.
Follow up
This was mean to tantalize the imagination of the players / readers - to want to reveal the secret. - I think its a good idea for Readers / Autors but a terrible one for GMs and Players. Knowing there is an Secret can change the whole dynamic of a game. It can bring players to second guess themselves. Do i do this because of a gut feeling i have with this NPC or is it because i saw out-game that there is something we don't know about him.
The Team's Response
The fact that the secret tab appears there only if there are secrets even if the secrets are not visible to the end user was done on purpose :)

I can make it always visible but I will not make it visible only if they can see the secrets (too much overhead for very little profit)
If you want it always visible talk to me on #development-discussion in Discord
