The pop-ups and tooltips in articles are fantastic, and I'd love to be able to use them in the manuscripts too.
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
As a reader, I'd rather be able to hover over something in a story to get a little more info about it than have to leave the story, go to the world, look up the topic, and then backtrack to the story and try to recapture the flow.
As a writer, I often mention details about my world off-hand. It would be great if I had a way to tell readers about that (and give them the option to go look up the whole article if they want to) without taking them off the page.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Adding popups/tooltip options to a manuscript would keep readers on that page and add to their understanding of the world with minimal interruption to their engagement with the story.

That's why I suggested that using this be optional. If someone wants to export an epub, they could simply avoid using it--or maybe there could be a button to hide the hover links or bypass them during the process (I have only basic coding skills, so I'm not sure how that would work), And in any case, I didn't think you sounded mean. :-)

Re: Footnotes...I wonder if there might even be a way to allow the author to select whether they want to use popups or traditional footnotes? I would prefer popups for most things, but I can see how footnotes would be more appealing for some projects.
The Team's Response
Tooltips/links etc, will not be implemented into the document of a manuscript.
Each part / chapter will be getting its own section that BBcode will be available in the future.
