What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

  There is currently no good graphical way to display a link to a Timeline. For Categories and Articles, I can use the Book Widget functionality to present a picture with a link, but timelines only have text links.   The way I wish to organize my content is using a number of books covers. However, for timelines, this requires me to use a Category that acts as the Book Cover and contains only a link to the timeline.  

 

 

What are other uses for this feature request?

  By allowing graphical representations of timelines, it will become easier to organize timelines into smaller chunks with clear links.   Example:   Let's say I want to present three timelines from my world. The only current way to do so is like this:  

  If I had this feature, I'd be able to present them like this:  

  This problem becomes worse as you get more timelines, because it becomes harder to practically find a timeline and present what they are at a glance.
