I agree, you can make Gods a 'person', a pantheon an 'organisation' but it does seem odd they are not fully separate categories. In my campaign setting the Each God has various interpretations under different religious traditions so the god and the belief system are quite separate.
I agree, if not this, and extension of the deity part of the character template would be nice.
Already exists as a character template, and you can further create religions using the organization template. If your looking for a better place to them from the GM side, I'd suggest using categories that aren't visible to other players. You can also expand on making them easier to search by adding unique tags to the character template.
This would be nice, but feels more like a quality of life change then one that needs rapid addressing, so small upvote, but again, I don't see this as a huge need.
Deities are under characters as many have noted, but lumping Deities in as just "people" makes them feel less important and makes it hard to find a Deity vs. just some regular NPC. Making them separate would help alleviate the burden of scrolling through hundreds of character articles to find them.
Use characters. I think this and many similar suggestions would be better implemented through allowing more deep customisation of article templates. Allowing us to edit the fields on the article and how they display. I use a family tree on characters to show what gods created. It has two limitations. "Spouse" is often not appropriate. If god one kills god 2 and uses their corpse to make god 3, I want god 1 and 2 referenced, but they're not spouses. I can't show that Baphomet made the species of Minotaur.
Creating a deity is best done by creating a Character and using the "Deity" tab. This also has family trees already included. I'm currently developing a whole pantheon and have yet to stumble upon anything I can't represent via using the Character/Deity template...
I have multiple pantheons in my world, and I would really love to be able to access this. Very much. Please.
As many people already said, these fields are already present within the character template. It even shows "From kings and queens, to heroes, peasants and gods" when hovered on the dashboard.
As a writer rather then a gamer having the Deity and the religion separate is a very useful thing. While the two maybe related how different cultures or even people inside a culture view/understand a deity can be very different from where it all started. Also how a Deity is worshiped can change over time
Deities are under the Character / Person template
You already can create duties/gods with the character template, it has a tab specifically for that.
I know we can use the Organization or Character tab to put in deity information but it is limited. For starters, not every religious organization only has ONE deity, especially in a fantasy realm.
You already can do this: Characters have a Divine/Deity prompt tab for when the character is a Deity, that also allows you to connect them to an Organization as their Church/Cult (Religion Template is an Organization Template at heart). By making them as characters, you can also make a family tree out of the Deities.
