The style of my world relies on many articles having different CSS classes. It's rather tedious to have to open the Advanced Edit of each article that I want to change the class of, navigate all the way to the Design > CSS tab, and input the CSS class, especially when there are several articles that need a class change.
I would like to be able to change an article's CSS classes directly from the Articles & Categories or Explore quick edit previews.
This would encourage CSS designers to change up the look and feel of different articles in their world. This would also reduce the tediousness of changing all of the articles' classes if one wanted to remove the styling, or if the class name was changed in the world CSS code.
You can change css based on tags, and you can add tags from the articles & categories menu. Try doing it via those instead!
I agree that this seems pretty niche and would only add clutter for everyone else. Why not just open the article you need to change in a new tab if you're worried about losing your place in a list or something?
Too unique of a case that will add clutter to everyone else
