Search Worlds -Articles
While looking through other user worlds I notice that the search function is lacking. On the browse worlds main page there is a section decated to popular worlds, that is fine. However, my issuse lies with how one serach for other worlds, by selction of genre and typing of the names of worlds in the search bar. I found scrolling through hundreds of different worlds under one genre tedious.
The features I would like to see in a new improve world search function are:
- The ability to group more than one genres
- Filter options; recently updated, most views, most followers, ect.
- the ability to search by world's author's name as well not only name of the world
A better search funcation could benefit articles as well. It could be a useful function for users to find articles they find interesting or could help them find insperation with ideas similar to their own.
The Team's Response
Thanks for this suggestion! First of all, finding worlds by user is already possible, just go to the author's profile and use the "Worlds" tab.
Regarding the feature suggestion itself, we are planning to implement this in the future. However, it will be a large undertaking due to the massive amount of worlds that exist on World Anvil. Therefore, while the feature is scheduled, don't expect it any time soon.
