I've been chatting with my favorite AI co-conspiritor to come up with loctions and NPC's and I'm pretty happy with what we've established.
However, there are 30+ locations, 7 factions, 50+ NPC's all for one city.
I cant work out how to iport these (they're currently in a CSV file) into the appropriate articles/NPC/Organisations.
It would be realy hady to be able to collaborate externaly, then add these directly into the correct places, rather than having to copy paste everything.
Imagine, going to the NPC page (supporting cast) and having an import button. 1 minute later you have 60 npc's ready to go.
Same with organisations and locations. in fact for each of the article types, have an import feature.
If I could import these entities, my life would be easier. then I'd just have to create some art work.
Anyone creatingcontentexternaly could use an agreed/provided format and import as many things at once, without having to copy paste.
I doubt it would be worth the time and effort needed to develop this - I'd rather the dev team work on other features than this
I can't imagine this being easily compatible with world anvil's framework, nor something that would encourage or work well with the very thought provoking layout of world anvils prompts system
Not interested in anything that makes it easier to use AI to create content. Especially when the request can't be bothered to check spelling or anything else before posting...
It'd be nice to have some way to help people bulk-import pre-existing notes into WA. However, any importer would likely need the input to be a specific format to indicate title, template, and where the article starts/ends. I'm not sure reformatting notes to satisfy an importer's needs is any easier or faster than Ye Olde Copy & Paste. Considering it'd be something only some people would use, and likely only once, I'm not sure it's worth it for WA to develop, document, and support going forward.
What to import and how would differ per person, so I don't think it's worth the time for the WA team. That said, you can get an API key and program your own tool to create articles for you.
I like the idea but I think it has been asked and rejected before But lets try.
