Calling upon favor
History
The calling upon favor is an old ritual, from when magic was first observed on Nitayo. It describes a long standing tradition of serving monsters, practiced only by a small percentage today. It was done to find out what they should do to gain the favor of the being most in contact with magic near them also known as the sub-god.
Execution
Not much is known of the rituals of the purple people, but in this specific instance we have firsthand, somewhat reliable, records. Today we are here with, the totally real Indigo(1567 yr.), whose family once practiced calling upon favor.
The participants gather in a circle with the icalaust in their midst, and begin to contact other beings or set themselves in connection with other planes. Is that all... Okay! It seems(if my college, ROD, here is right) that is all we know.
Components and tools
Icalausts are an important component when calling upon favor, not just symbolically, but execution-wise(?) as well. They are magic gatherers and as such a way to get in contact. In a way the small stone represents their powerlessness, but to them it's also a form of hope.
Participants
A family of purple people will participate in this ritual together. Sometimes families do this joint, but then it is required that they worship the same being, that they call a sub-god.
Observance
Every third month on the first new moon, the family will gather on the highest floor of their house and hold a ceremony. The next day they would return for their meeting on how to fulfill given desires. In the case of sacrifice another ritual would ensue.
