Creston
Creston is the name of the town situated on Redbar Island. It is home to the OTC, Pulminov, and the Peregrine Pact, as well as many inhabitants. It has a population of around 1500 - a mixed variety of races, most of which are native to Faerun.
Demographics
Most residents (around 80%) are of the middle class and live in either midtown or Old Creston. Lowtown is the lower-income section of the town, and Crimson Cay is where the wealthiest residents live.
Government
Taxes from properties and businesses go to the OTC, which in turn pay for the harbor, docks, roads, surrounding infrastructure, and the Redbar Guard.
Defences
Several watchtowers surround the shores of Redbar Island and are operated by the Redbar Guard . The Redbar Guard also patrols the streets and deals with any crime that takes place.
Industry & Trade
Fishing and farming keep the town fairly self-sustained in the way of agriculture, but Creston's biggest export by far is that of Scarlet Sandleaf .

Districts
Lowtown
Creston's low-income district containing primarily residential with the occasional shop hidden within. The streets are made of dirt and many houses here are old and uncared for. On the southeastern side of Lowtown, the houses turn into tents that people have set up who either cannot own their own homes, or do not care to.Midtown
The middle-class district where the majority of Creston's workers and laborers live. It is close to the Creston market, and several small shops sit harborside.Hightown
This is where Creston's upper-class folk live, such as those who own establishments or businesses around the town. Several high-end shops are also located here, most of which have a beautiful ocean view.Old Creston
Old Creston, as its name would suggest, is the original area where Creston was founded. Some buildings here date back to the founding date in the 1520's. Most shops and businesses are located here, with only a few housing complexes scattered in between. This is where commercial ships dock and offload goods - especially fishing boats to the two fisheries located harborside.Crimson Cay
This small cay is where Creston's wealthiest people live. Most who live here have a large role to play in the OTC, such as Creston's unofficial mayor Darion Wickercap . The cay is only accessible by a lavish bridge that connects it to the main island. The cay has its own dock for smaller boats, as well as its own communal garden reserved for those living there to have food at their doorstep.Guilds and Factions
History
Creston was originally developed as a small outpost for OTC explorers in 1525 when they came to Redbar Island to scout for any profitable resources. It was meant to be temporary, but when a scout received a report that the OTC's main base of operations, Fort Zethar had been destroyed, the temporary base turned into something far more permanent.
The scouting party of ten made their home on Redbar, slowly expanding outwards from their main encampment. Some stragglers both from Fort Zethar and other outposts joined forces with those on the island, and Outpost Creston became the start of a town. Eventually they began to chop the palm trees and create bricks from the red mud, and fashioned buildings and other structures for their own use.
These old buildings, while heavily renovated, still remain in Old Creston.
Geography
Most of Redbar Island is flat and sandy, with the exception of the northern point that consists more of rocky ridges. Much of the space is also taken up by farmland along the coast, as Scarlet Sandleaf grows best in the marine shores.
This island would not fare well in a hurricane, and would easily be wiped out by a tsunami.
Climate
Given that Zorolai is located in the southern hemisphere, seasons are reversed as compared to most places located in Faerun.
Natural Resources
Very little, aside from a few palm trees and some grass in the middle of the island. Aside from bramble bushes, one of the only things that grows here naturally is Scarlet Sandleaf, which is farmed by the OTC.
