Anatomy
The starflies look a lot like the fireflies on planet Earth. But these are the size of a cow and they fly through space.
Genetics and Reproduction
It is not know where or how they reproduce. Not by a lack of trying, there have being trackers placed but for some reason they stopped working.
Ecology and Habitats
The starflies are mostly spotted at the edges of the Dragonship empire and mostly near the Dark matter.
Dietary Needs and Habits
It is not known what they eat or drink, again not by lack of not trying. But it is simply not clear how these animals are staying alive.
Behaviour
The starflies communicate with each other through some kind of Morse code, with the help of their glowing butts. They are not as friendly towards ships, that is why the Dragonfire shuttles do have cannons.

Domestication
It is not recommended to try, they are highly agressive and when they attack, they attack in groups.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
The starflies travels large distances inside the Dragonship empire, and even go beyond the boards. Nobody knows where they came from, they were simply there one day and never left.
Average Intelligence
They are smart enough to have their own kind of language, and to know when they are tracked. But further than that it is not known.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The starflies have a unique way of communicating, they communicate with their lights. Which signals some kind of Morse code that right now only the starflies themselves can understand. But there are some scientists who are trying to discover their code.
