Monster of the Mirror lake

Mirror lake is more of a swamp than a lake, existing out small ponds that are quite deep a drowning inside one of those ponds is a guarantee. Even when the person falling into the pond is a skilled swimmer. The swamp is part of the black forest, that surrounds Gazetown, a ghost town that is plagued by the strange, macabre and the undead. The black forest is also home to many creatures that plagues the town. Werewolves, is just one of the many things that are deadly inside the forest. Cutting the small town off from the rest of the world. Throughout the year, and every season, the water of the lake stays the same. It doesn't freeze over, or is easily disturbed by the rain or wind. Acting much like a mirror, reflecting the world around it. But there are some things that hide under the waters. So much so that the other creatures of the forest seek out another source of water.

The monster that lives at the bottom of the largest pond is one of the deadliest creatures that lives inside the forest. It is rarely seen, and it never leaves the swamp. Not even when it is provoked, still it is never a good thing when the monster reaches the surface. Death of what ever is around is absolute and the forest more unsafe than ever. In other words people, and creatures rather stay away from Mirror lake.
