Basilisk

The basilisk, is more a creature of legend than a monster that is roaming the Black forest. Which surrounds Gazetown which is plagued by the strange, macabre and the undead. But there are rumors of a large snake that was able to hatch because a chicken sat on a snake egg. The creature slithers around the forest, looking for people that are brave/stupid enough to venture inside the forest. And when the snake finds them, he turns them into stone with his petrifying stare. There are a few statues inside the town, that were once people. But died after their encounter with the basilisk, the basilisk can only be killed by a rooster. One of the reasons why it stays far away from the chicken coop. But what do you think is the Basilisk just a legend or is it slithering somewhere in the Black forest?
