The Warding Light
(a.k.a. The Shepherd)
The Warding Light is a god of the Golden Pantheon. He is represented as a rugged traveler, with the top part of his face covered by a cloak. He always carries a shepherd's staff and a lantern. He is the protector of the common folk and travelers. He is considered to protect those who stay in the light and remain humble.
It is to be believed that the Shepherd is the brother of the Guiding Night. They were supposedly one god that split in two. The Shepherd also is believed to be the husband of the Blazing Champion. He is the Shepherd that brings the sun around every day and that gives her light the protective power that it has.
Followers of the Warding Light are usually people seeking safety. This can be commonfolk that seek protection from coming evils or travels scared for bandits and wolfs. However, you need to stay within the light to keep this protection. Only those that keep themselves humble are worthy of the Shepherd's guidance.
