The Guiding Night
(a.k.a. The Night)
The Guiding Night is a god of the Golden Pantheon. He is represented as a young drow with blue moth wings and a lantern shining dim white light. Prayers towards the Guiding Night mostly come from creatures who are more accustomed to live in darkness or be awake during the night. The Guiding Night is the one who guides lost mortals during the night and provides shelter by the cover of darkness. Many say that the Guiding Night is the literal moon, watching over the world as it sleeps.
The Guiding Night is also the god of depression. He wants his followers to persist even during the hardest times. It is important to stay strong and not let the emptiness of the dark distract you from the possibilities that the future may hold.
The Guiding Night is seen as the brother of the Warding Shepherd. It is said that they used to be one god, until they were split in day and night.
