Personal history
My parents barely recognize me; I spend most of my time camping.
At the age of 4 I began wandering from home unsupervised where I would spend most of my time wandering through woods just outside of town. I learned the names of various plants and the habits of the woodland creatures I would encounter.
By the age of 10 I was spending multiple days wandering, camping, and foraging on my own. Often I would leave home with only a note left behind, or with no warning at all, and only return home after losing track of exactly how long I had been away.
I am well known throughout Northvale and while most consider me an outcast I do have a small group of loyal friends who are the only humans I really care to spend time with. Occasionally they will wander with me in the woods but rarely will they spend an overnight camping.
Rarely do I wander into the center of town, I understand that an unwashed child who is practically feral is not always a welcome site in Northvale. Rarely do they bother to find work that will support the town and prefer instead to tend their small patch of land for a meager yield of crops. When I can I will bring them food from the forest, foraged fruits and nuts, or small animals hunted for their meat. My parents are unpleasant people not well liked in town, they are seen as neglectful and lazy, unwilling to care properly for their child or themselves.
