General Summary
Sandpoint
Back at Sandpoint, Theo jolts awake from feverish nightmares to find himself in a cozy basement. A silent monk calms him, and fetches Sabyl. She runs the House of the Blue Stones - a monastery. He dozes and wakes a few times, as he is being treated. He manages to break the fever, but he finds that his canines are longer, and his ears have a couple points they they didn't use to have.
Sabyl explain he had become gravely ill, and was brought here the day before by his friends. They had researched his condition, and treated him for Vargouille Fever, which would have taken his life.
Thistletop
They group makes their way down the stairs through the secret door. At the end is a door with defaced carvings. Through the door, they found a female magic user with several double images. She fought them fiercely, ducking around pillars and firing spells throughout the room. The battle ends when Satashi shoots her right in the face with a blast of fox fire!
They creep out of the room and find a suspicious polished floor tile between two statues that they determine is a trap. They leap over it, spilling into an adjacent short hallway to the south. Presuming that the complex is symmetrical, Espa opens the northern door -- and discovers a tall woman in thick armor with a burning arm glaring at them. She slams the door and they group readies themselves for a fight.
