Kalabay

Kalabay, The Landfall, the capitol of Nerria. A bustling city at the terminus of the Lysan River, Kalabay was the first true city built on Zhalindor after the Exodus. Following landfall most races split off to carve out their own territories, but Kalabay, and Nerria as a whole, remained a melting-pot of all those left behind, or looking for a different way of life. As such it may not be so well planned or laid out as other cities, or even as large as Aqatar, Xhantri or Lhormar, but the history to this place as well as the people living here, give it a well-deserved importance in the political and economic landscape of Zhalindor.

Defences

Walls (crenelated, buttressed), one northern gatehouse, one southern gatehouse, one eastern gatehouse on the south side of the city.

Geography

It sits astride the Lysan River, the northern third of the city reserved for nobility, governmental buildings and religious structures, while the south bank is covered in everything else, from the Guildhall to the slum by the southern gate. The land is more or less flat, with the north bank being somewhat higher than the south, with the occasional gentle slope.
