Zhalindor

Zhalindor is a continent nobody expected to be living on. over five hundred years ago there was a war among gods and men, the wise amongst the peoples of that land fleeing across the sea to Zhalindor to escape the fighting. However, while those fleeing survived, the world itself was changed by the fallout from this war. The dead no longer rest easily, rising without proper preparation, and magic is no longer easily channeled, the energies fighting back and lashing out at those who wield them. Those arriving here set about carving up the land immediately, and there have been near-constant skirmishes between the great countries that arose. However, with their rising also came into being The Guild. A collection of those at the bottom of society, who nevertheless are relied on by everyone else to keep the dead down, and act as mercenaries for the highest bidder. And it is for them, that you now work. How did you fall to this state, and what do you plan to do from here?
