Sonnenwacht Keepers
The Sonnenwacht Keepers is the largest and most well-known group of Druidic Circles within Eisenovia. There are seven circles, each known as Groves, named after the druid who founded them. The Groves are as follows:
The philosophy of the Sonnenwacht Keepers is centered on harmonizing with nature, embracing cycles of renewal, recognizing interconnectedness, and cultivating positive change. They value deep-rooted connections, mindful actions, and selfless service to all beings. Through the breath of nature, they find grounding and inner peace, while their intentions and deeds seek to nurture compassion and good outcomes, thereby attaining enlightenment.
Enlightenment, according to the Keepers, is a state of profound understanding, mastery of self, and oneness with nature. It is achieved through a deep connection with the natural world, an awareness of the consequences of one's actions before they are taken, and the cultivation of a state of mind that transcends the ordinary. Those who have ascended through mastery are believed to be capable of permanently residing in a state of enlightenment, guiding their actions with wisdom and compassion.
The Keepers have three primary goals that define their order and its actions.
The history of the Sonnenwacht Keepers traces back to a pivotal moment in the lands of Eisenovia during the late 3rd Century UA (9th century AC). It was during this time that a visionary druid named Elysia Vasar, a daughter of the Sovereign Prince of Stadnor and more commonly known as Elysia Ravensong, who was known for her deep connection with nature and remarkable wisdom, emerged as the founder of what would later become a significant druidic order.
Elysia's journey began in her early years as she explored the vast and diverse landscapes of Eisenovia. She witnessed the struggles faced by farmers and their communities in their attempts to cultivate the land and sustain their livelihoods. Inspired by the interconnectedness of all living beings and the power of nature's rhythms, Elysia sought to bring forth a new understanding and practice that would harmonize agriculture with the natural world.
In her quest, Elysia gathered a group of like-minded individuals who shared her vision. They came together, forming a small community of druids dedicated to studying the ancient teachings of the land and developing rituals to enhance agricultural practices. Their initial focus was on minor crop rituals, experimenting with ways to increase soil fertility, repel pests, and improve harvests.
As Elysia delved deeper into her studies, her insights and experiences shaped the foundation of the druidic philosophy that would come to define the Sonnenwacht Keepers. Drawing from sources of wisdom such as ancient texts, mystic visions, and personal communion with nature, she crafted a set of guiding principles centered around living in harmony with the natural world, mastering oneself through understanding, and creating positive consequences through actions.
Elysia's teachings resonated with those seeking a deeper connection with nature, and the community of druids began to grow. The reputation of the Sonnenwacht Keepers spread far and wide, attracting aspiring druids from across the kingdom. With each new member, the knowledge and practices of the order expanded, contributing to the development of a comprehensive system of druidic teachings.
Over the years, the Sonnenwacht Keepers evolved into a sizable organization, recognized and respected for their profound impact on agricultural productivity and the well-being of rural communities. As the demand for their services increased, the Keepers adopted a system in which druids would travel throughout the countryside, visiting major agricultural zones to bless the land, perform rituals, and offer guidance to farmers.
This transformation from scattered crop rituals to an organized system was a testament to the collective dedication of the Keepers and their unwavering commitment to the betterment of agriculture and the natural world. The order established training centers and sanctuaries across the kingdom, where druids could undergo rigorous apprenticeships and develop their skills in the realms of nature magic, philosophy, and sustainable agriculture.
The Sonnenwacht Keepers became renowned not only for their practical contributions to agricultural success but also for their spiritual guidance and wisdom. They were seen as the custodians of the land, entrusted with the responsibility of fostering a deep reverence for nature and reminding communities of their interconnectedness with the natural world.
Through the centuries, the Sonnenwacht Keepers have remained steadfast in their mission. They continue to adapt and innovate, incorporating new insights and knowledge into their practices while upholding the timeless principles established by Elysia Ravensong. Their druids, now widely recognized as guardians, scholars, and healers, wander the countryside, spreading their teachings, nurturing the land, and forging strong bonds between humans and nature.
Today, the Sonnenwacht Keepers stand as a beacon of hope and wisdom, embodying the profound belief that through understanding, compassion, and mindful action, humanity can forge a harmonious relationship with the natural world, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
